Releasing stress from your life requires a balance between the elements of life and stress management. Both of them must be managed in a balanced way to get a lasting output. If one of them is unbalanced then the recurrence of stress will be frequent. This will leave an impression as if the stress relief method did not work.
Below I have mentioned the components and activities in life (passive and active) that must be combined to make your life effective. Below are outlined some of the components of life to manage properly for effective rupture of life.
Proper sleep
On average more than 6 hours of sleep per night is needed to relax the body and provide enough time to cleanse your system. The positive consequence of deep sleep is the cleansing of the body’s own body system. So do not compromise on sleep.
Proper food
Healthy eating is necessary to be healthy. If you eat unhealthy food in an unhealthy way then the body needs to use too much time and extra resources to clean up the mess created by unhealthy food. It will require extra energy from the body and organs which will be subjected to stress just because of your negligence.
Enough/Valid Time
If possible, it is recommended to do daily activities that are always in sync, such as sleeping, having a meal, exercising, etc. Don't mess with time. It’s like making an appointment with the body to do certain things like eating, or sleeping. Just like arranging an appointment with other people, do things on time so that the body is ready for the task first.
It is not a good idea to give a surprise to the body. Below are some stress management activities which are most effective if done properly and regularly.
The two types of activities:
1. Large activities:
Meditation: This is the most effective activity. If performed properly, 20 minutes a day is enough. But more time for it is highly recommended. An hour of Mediation in a sitting, if time permits, perfect.
In meditation, you can practice:
Body scan (body thinking) Thinking- this may include Anapanasati (concentration to the extent); observation of the surroundings; focus on anything like the figure of the guru / god, flowers, etc.
Yellow light concentration (meditating on the candle). In the present (a kind of thinking): in this technique, you are completely focused on the thing you are currently involved in.
As you cook, imagine the cooking activity do not think of the Television series that will be shown shortly.
Positive thinking: I want to remind you of a popular quote that ‘we are what we think’. If you think positively, you will have positive output and negative when you think negatively. So be positive. Always smile and be happy.
Avoid loneliness: It is also a very important activity to release stress. Stress can be effective when one’s mind is alone. Think of some positive discussion, surround yourself with a positive thinking person. Avoid stressful discussions or situations.
2. Active activities:
Just create a schedule to do for leisure / jogging a day, which is the most effective active activity. Just go for a minimum of 10 minutes a day. It is recommended to run / jog 30 minutes at a time, for a better outcome. If you are not interested in run / jog, visit the gym twice a week, which is second best. A medium level strength workout for 10 to 30 minutes a day will also refresh your mind, body and recharge your systems.
