They say prosperity invites friends
And adversity tries them rightly
In this selfish material mundane world
More than often we meet such incidents
You and I, we all are but no exceptions
But for a while think deeply my friend
Who was that, who helped you in need
Who simple wiped your tears that day
Who heard your heart breaking tale
Who put hands on your broken shoulders
Who looked into your dripping eyes
And said warmly "I'm with you, yes I'm"
And against all odds he/she stood beside
On that slippery U Turn of your life
Look back and think that was a friend
Yes you have to earn a true friend
Friendship is not at all ready-mades
We must stitch like needle and thread.
