Your presence is very important for them **A two day visit to my village for pòoja holidays had a tremendous change in me overall. Infact a wonderful experience spent with my parents. Happenings and experiences, while reading articles of different authors in read.cash can be one such reason. Or probably sitting within the four corners of the room, having no where to** **go but a rare visit nearby, may be another reason.**
Almost two hours travel from my home. It was a very pleasant journey because we travelled at night. As we ie., me, my husband and son, reached home without informing my father waa a bit angry and upset. **Because his hospitality is something I can't describe when we go after informing with varieties of food and savouries.** The very next day I visited some relatives who are staying at walkable distance. All had a story to say. By noon I was back home. Talking about my parents home they have a very big garden. **The soil is red in colour which means it is too good for cultivation.** *As my father is a retired government employee, he keeps himself engaged by planting ginger, pineapple , Banana and Turmeric.*
There are variety of crotons, rose plants both white and red in colour, white Jasmine etc. But this time no much flowers may be due to over heat. Two or three papaya plants with few papayas in it.
My father being in his early 80's, thanks to Almighty for his better health, does the manuring and watering of plants by himself. **The patience with which he does something is really appreciable. When you go to clear a doubt he takes time to patiently clear our doubts.**
I spent around 3 days almost with them. They have a maid who is with them for 3 hours. Each time I visit them I could see how old they are getting with a little stoop. **Something that I cannot forget is** **their happiness at doorstep when we arrive and untold sadness when we leave them.** **If you have old parents at home make it a point to visit them, call them once a while, be patient while they are talking, show interest in that which interests them. Most of all its your presence that is important.** All images captured from my mobile, at my parents home.

They must have appreciated the visit a lot. Hope you enjoyed the Durga Pooja festivities. Your dad has a very rich garden, he sure does a great job.
Yes dear but the think is he is getting old. He has to take a break sometimes which he refuses. Round the clock he is in the garden.
It's nice that you have your parents and visit them. I love what your father sows. I do it too but in pots.
He enjoys what he does. The first photo of my home that I posted is the entry to home. Always it is covered with Teak leaves which is in the corner of the home. It keeps falling every now and then. But he patiently picks them and piles them in a corner
Those leaves are a love carpet of the plant. It is useful for compost, I like it.
Yes they are the compost for ginger and turmeric
One thing about village old people is they work and move a lot, even if you try to stop them. My father tried a lot bringing my grandparents to city but they refused it saying they won't let them work and roam freely there, haha. Also this is why I visit my village once in a month, seeing their happy faces is already a blessing to me.
Yes they are happy with their surroundings and environment. They find happiness in small things. Good you find it a blessing visiting grandparents which most children fail to do.
I only had mom, my father is dead already. However I cannot visit my mom since she's living in the province, too far from where I am living. I already miss them but I can only call them for now. Anyway indeed, our presence really matters to them.
Making a call and enquiring about then is also a big thing you are doing.
To leave parents' house is really upsetting we must try to visit them as much possible. Your parents has really beautiful place
Thanks a lot. That is the reason I don't like to come back once I reach home.
You are right, when we still have the time and chances to visit our parents we should always make time for them. It's the best thing that we can do for them. :)
Yes dear friend. We are committed to do that.
Presence is irreplaceable. I actually worry for my parents back home as I cannot see them physically on a regular basis due to the distance. I am working overseas to send them money but it really is not the same as being their for them in a tangible sense.
Good you are concerned of them.
