Sometimes rains are a nightmare...

When it comes to rain, its like a nightmare in our place. All are with a question mark (?) What will happen next? . Before it leaves it creates havoc to both public and personal properties.

So here it is again. Rain along with severe storm is more dangerous. For the past two days we are experiencing heavy downpour of rains. Fishermen are warned against going to shore. Elders and children are warned against going out especially, the warning applies most to those staying nearby the sea.

All the fourteen districts in Kerala are in alert except the colour varies as to red being more dangerous, then yellow and orange. Most districts have already declared holiday for all educational instirutions though the government offices are functioning.

Every year the outcome of rain is beyond imagination. Many lose their dear ones, some of them their livestocks and for some they lose their private properties. Most peoples here have taken refuge at schools as their houses are either washed way or under water. As such the respective schools are given holiday.

The schools have opened up last month, after a long vacation of 2 months. And yesterday an old tree fell over a 11 year old school girl who was returning to her home after school hours. She died on the spot. Though two of her friends were also trapped they had a miraculous escape. The fire force was called to rescue this 11 year old girl but in vain.

This is one such incident Now the TV news highlights only such news for the past two to three days.

A month ago, people were surviving in the scorching heat. But now the scenario has changed with this cold weather. Its human tendency that once we feel we can't stand the heat, we expect the rain but then the worse happens.

Because along with this comes many diseases and deaths which we cannot withstand. Hope the rain will calm down so that we can move out freely without fear.
