In the **last instants**, West Ham pounce on the goal. Everton's **goalkeeper** buckled as a file was pulled out of the penalty box in an attempt to **stop the spell**. The ball bounced off a West Ham player who passed it through a cross to Paulo de Canio, who was standing in front of the goal. The goal was **void** in front of **Paolo de Canio**. All you had to do was put the ball in and **success the match.** **De Canio** clutched the ball in his big hand and pointed to the **goalkeeper**, who would not score because the opposing goalkeeper had fallen. There was an **instant** response from the **viewers**. Everyone stood up and paid **praise** to **De Canio's** action. It included fans of both teams. After a while, the match **finished**. West Ham could not triumph the match due to the action of de Canio. He was admired by the **International Football Association (FIFA)** and de Canio was granted with the Fair Play Award. (The Italian player de Canio has a name as an **angry player** and has had many **hullabaloos** in his **profession** before. In one match, when the **referee** showed him a red card, he was **disqualified** for **pushing and dropping the adjudicator**. In another occurrence, he was **censured** for saluting a **fascist** in front of his **right-wing** fans after **scoring a goal.** This action by de **Canio raises** some basic **queries** about **ethics**. A summary of this condition. First of all, the action was **innate.** It was not that they first **related right and wrong**, thought its opinions and then decided. As soon as the ball came to him, he had decided. Football **rules** did not **thwart** them from **scoring goals.** Neither he nor any of his co-players **dishonored any law**. Even in the goalkeeper's damage, no player of his team had any hand, deliberately or inadvertently. It was **permissible** to take gain of this chance. It was their **right** to score. Even if he had scored, there would have been no **postponement** in getting medicinal help to the **goalkeeper.** That is, not **discontinuing** the game here was not spoiling anybody. As a player, someone's goal is to victory their team. This is the **promise** between the team and the **performer**. The club pays the performer a lot of **coinage** for this work. That's what the players do. Did de Canio disrupt his **agreement** by purposely **trailing** the chance to win while lasting within the law? Wasn't that a **disloyalty to his team**? But fans of the match, his team manager, **football** observers and **FIFA** agreed with de **Canio's** action. Almost everybody approved that scoring a goal was **lawful** but not ethically **precise**. *But why? For this, the aspect of human psychology that we have to go to is the theme of ethical psychology. And to recognize this, we need help from a book written by the famous social psychologist* ***Jonathan Heights****.* The Righteous Mind: **Why Good People are Divided by Politics and Religion.** To Be Continued.........
