A verse of Surat Toba (Quran)

Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings be upon you

If they had intended to go out for jihad, they would have prepared for the journey, but Allah did not like them to get up, so He stopped them from moving and told them to sit with those who were sitting. If they had gone out with you, it would have only increased their evil, and they would have run away from you to incite to sedition, and among you are their hearers (spies), and Allah is All-Aware of the wrongdoers.
