Blockchain powered social media platforms seem to be gaining a lot of attention in 2020! Publish0x, LBRY, Uptrennd and Read.cash have all been growing significantly and the concept of blockchain alternatives to the corporate giants are fast becoming way more attractive to users. Read.cash has had a very slow start but has seen a boost in users over the past 2 months or so. Uptrennd has also been seeing a lot of growth, especially as their native token 1UP surged over 1000% in the last month. The price has since retraced significantly but is still up over 100% on previous levels.
This was largely due to DeFi partnerships and integration that Jeff, the founder and CEO has been busy implementing.
Torum - A New Name To Watch
Content and data is fast becoming the new measure of value in a digital age and Torum is a new social media alternative that enables users to leverage and earn from producing quality content, as well as engaging on the Torum network. Torum has it's own native token, which users can earn on a daily basis. XTM is the token that powers Torum and is an ERC20 standard token which will also be traded in-house on the soon to be launched XTORUM exchange.
Torum is still in Private Beta Phase and users can only join by being invited by a "Beta Lander" such as myself. My Beta Lander link can be found here for those who would like to explore what Torum has to offer. Users of my invitation link will also receive 75 XTM straight off the bat!
Early users are still able to earn XTM for daily missions and creating content. Users are rewarded for daily activity and not only producing content. Get rewarded to login everyday, as well as liking, sharing and commenting. There are Daily missions, as well as Weekly, One-Time and Special missions available to keep that XTM rolling in!
The UI is neat and easy to navigate, which always helps with creating an enjoyable user experience. Users can also create Clans and Companies for more focused interaction and content. There is also a private message function, which is always nice to have on hand and available for when you make some important connections.
Overall the project looks really good and I hope to see Torum gain strength in the near future. Community Managers are extremely active on the platform and the team is also very dedicated in removing bugs and ironing out all the issues and potential issues that may arise. Thank for the information. One another name in the social media race Publish ,uptrennd and Read cash are quality platforms and are on the path of hive and steemit and I will still look into torum but it is not yet available for mobile users.
