Digital Real Estate
The metaverse is more than an alternative world but rather a place where digital ownership takes on a whole new meaning. Although you are not actually able to live in a property in the metaverse, you sure can collect rent. This concept/idea begins to create an awakening towards an entirely new form of property ownership initially sparked by the NFT market. It could also be argued that the oldest and largest Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin is really the catalyst. Michael Saylor has been caught many times referring to Bitcoin as digital real estate.
Referring it to owning a block in Manhattan, an investment that continues to appreciate, as well as generate constant income. Making the case that if owners required additional capital, they would simply borrow against their assets. Bitcoin really does fulfill this role and now so does the metaverse. However, we are still to identify the true leaders here, as this sector is still experiencing growth and development. There are not many solidified, established entities at this time, as investors are still seeking to locate the "blue chips" of this sector. It is even possible that the true leaders have not even arrived yet.
However you choose to view this alternative approach to investing, it is definitely going to grow. There will most likely also be a significant amount of growing pains. A lot of failed projects, a lot of hype, and as usual, a lot of scams. Navigating your way through this journey will come down to gaining knowledge and doing significant research.
Investors Will Arrive
Crypto investors and even traditional investors will look to diversify, even if very modestly, into this sector. Many BTC investors currently view their investment as one of digital property, as well as owning part of the network. It is also a form of ownership that is protected by decentralization. This trend will become increasingly attractive as our natural world begins to see more decay and monetary disaster.
Recent events in our world have been termed natural disasters but nobody except the Crypto community is talking about the monetary disaster that seems to intensify and become more horrific with each passing day. At the end of the day, value essentially exists where a majority decide it exists. Of course, it needs to be backed by some type of fundamental law, dynamic, or governance. Currently, value in the dollar is decided by a group of men getting together behind closed doors.
Their decisions ultimately affect the value of the currency you hold. This responsibility should never lie in the hands of a few. As society awakens to this tragedy, they will seek a more fair and structured way to invest and store value. Bitcoin with a preprogrammed monetary policy will win trust and new investors, the braver of these will most likely begin looking into the metaverse and NFTs as well. It's an investment journey, just as early BTC investors began diversifying into alts back in the day.
In my latest article, I look at Bitcoin and the Metaverse as the new digital property. Thanks for reading and to the subscribers of my official blog who explored my recent picks, gains of up to 300% percent have taken place in the last month.

Presumably real estate investments will now be made in the metaverse. At the moment I prefer to buy land in Decentraland instead of buying a new house.
