What does Islam say about cats? :
Question -> Is it permissible to turn the cat?
Answer: All praise is due to Allah.
Darud and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Getting started.
Cat turn is permissible.
There is no problem for cats to escape.
Abu Hurairah, the most well-known hadith narrator, was named Abu Hurairah because he liked cats very much.
Abu Hurairah. Its name was ‘Abdush Shams Ibn Chakhar. After accepting Islam, the Messenger of God, peace be upon him
He was named 'Abdur Rahman.'
With a cat cub at a young age
He always played. Seeing this, the companions named him Abu Hurairah (cat cub). Gradually, the three became known by this name and
His real name is Dhaka.
When his relationship with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) deepened after his conversion to Islam, he would occasionally call him ‘Abu Hirrin’. So he preferred the name Abu Hirrin instead of Abu Hurairah.
Cats are sacred animals.
If the cat puts its mouth in any food or water
It is not wasted. It can be used.
* Narrated from Kabsha bint Kab Ibn Malik. Abu Qatada came to him, then the narrator said something which means: I have brought for him a vessel full of water. At that time a cat seemed to be drinking it. Then he tilted the pot for the cat so he could drink. Kabsha said, then Abu Qatada saw, I am looking at him, he said, O niece!
Are you surprised
I said yes.
He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
These (cats) are not unclean, they are wandering around you and wandering.
------ (Sunanu Nasai 341)
* Abdullah ibn Maslama: It is narrated from Dawood ibn Salehib ibn Dinah's At-Tammar in his mother's source. Once his master sent him to Hazrat Ayesha (RA) with "Harisah". Then I came to him and saw that he was praying. He kept me (Harris's pot)
Gestured. Meanwhile, a cat came and ate some of it. Hazrat Ayesha (ra) ate from the place where the cat had eaten after the prayer and said: Surely the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
Cats are not unclean.
They roam around you. Then Hazrat Ayesha (RA) further said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) performing ablution with the leftover water of a cat."
------ (Sunan Abu Dawood: 6)
But on the other hand, if the dog puts its mouth in a container, it becomes unclean and has to be washed seven times.
* It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: When one of you puts a dog's mouth in a pot and drinks it, the method of purifying it is to wash it seven times.
The first time with soil (rubbing).
------ (Sahih Muslim: 549)
Things that are modern now in place of clay
It will be the first time to wash with them.
The next six times just water is enough.
If the cat is at home, there is no problem in prayers.
* The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
The cat does not spoil the prayer.
Because it includes household items.
------ (Sunanu Nasai 36)
However, if you have a dog in the house.
* Narrated by Ayesha (R). He said: Gabriel (peace be upon him) promised to come to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) at an appointed time.
But he did not come in time.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) had a stick in his hand,
He threw it out of his hand and said,
GOD does not break His promise.
Not even His messengers.
Then he noticed under his bed
I saw a puppy.
Then he said: O Ayesha!
When did the dog (puppy) enter here?
Ayesha (R) said, by God!
I do not know.
Then he gave the order and it was taken out. Gabriel (AS) has already come.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: You promised me, so I waited for you, but you did not come.
He said the dog in your house was a hindrance for me.
Because we (the angels of mercy) do not enter the house where there is a picture or a dog.
------ (Sahih Muslim, 5248)
