Hadith No. 364

===========

Narrated Anas Ibn Malik: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) set out on an expedition to Khyber. There we performed the Fajr prayer very early in the morning. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) rode. Abu Talhah (R) also rode, and I was sitting behind Abu Talhah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) guided his rider to Khaybar. My knees were on the thighs of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Then Izar moved away from the thigh of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Even the radiance of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) seems to be still visible to me. When he entered the city, he said: Allahu Akbar. May Khaibar be destroyed. How evil will be the dawn of the warners when we land on the premises of a people! He said this three times. Anas (R) said that the inhabitants of Khaybar went out on their own. They said, Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam)! ‘Abdul Aziz (R) said: Some of our companions have also added the word“ with full force ”(wal khamis). Later we won the battle of Khaibar. Then the prisoners of war were gathered. Dihya (R) came and said, O Prophet of Allah! Give me a maid to be a prisoner. He said, "Go, you take a maid." He took Safiyya bint Huai (R). Then a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said: O Prophet! You are giving Safiyya bint Huai, one of the leaders of Banu Qurayzah and Banu Nadir, to Dihwa? He is the only one worthy of you. He said, "Call Dihya with Safia." He appeared with Safia. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saw Safiyya (ra), he said to Dihya, 'Look at another maid from among the captives.' The narrator said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) freed Safiyya (ra) and married her. Rabi Thabit (R) asked Abu Hamza (Anas): Did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) give him Mahr? Anas replied: It is his duty to set him free. In return she married him. Then on the way Umm Sulaym (R) arranged Safiyya (R) and presented her to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) at night. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) spent the night of Basar and got up in the morning. He announced: "Whoever has something to eat, let him bring it." Saying this, he spread a leather dastarkhan. Some brought dates, some brought ghee. ‘Abdul‘ Aziz (R) said: I think Anas (R) also mentioned Chatur. Then they made food by mixing these. This was the Walimah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
