Before the coming of christ here on earth, situations in the world back then was more of the genital times when they were still having their days.

There was a total absence of pure worship back then and mankind was aleays having some moments of romance with the sevearal and too many gods that they either relied on gor their protection, glorification in battles and otherwise, whilst the worship of the only true God was at that time never called to the mind, in fact every inclination of the heart of a man was bad all the time.

Christ coming did change a lot of things with respect to the use of idols in pure worship which was also the believe and claims of the early christains back then.

Haven see all that was evident in the world back then, christ the promised messiah of God's kingdom began the cleansing job of mankind which he did in their minds that had a huge success in the reflection of the things they did and their general behaviours so to say.

This attempt by christ however did not still go down well with a lot of persons who urged that the Romans had him killed for what they had considered-blasphemy. Yes! Death did become christ's fate as though it was what the prophetic word says regarding his coming, his early ministry on earth and of course his death.

Killing jesus after all the improvements he did regarding God's word showed that his ministry here on earth had almost a less significant impact in the lives of many people aside those who had embraced his role as the only promised true messiah of God's kingdom.

This action of a total rejection of the christ by those without faith who lord themselves over others paved the way for what is known today as Pagan Worship.

"Pagan worship"

As the name denotes, it simply means a doctrine by the ideologies of men especially as it concerns true and pure worship.

There grpup of men and their ideological thinking had it that the book of the law-the bible, was meant to be a reserved book only for themselves or the priest in which after reading it, will then come and speak of it to the congregation of all the obedient worshippers of God for their instruction and application.

Now answer, was that the original purpose for which the scriptures was written? Or did the scriptures at 2timothy 3:16 not say that, "...all scriptures are beneficial for teaching...and for setting things straight...", if that was the bibilical claims, how come did mankind then proved false to its powers by adding their own philosophy of ideas into God's due arrangements? That question may yet remain very much unanswered even to times indefinite.

"Idolatory"

This is purely a representation and a worship of God with either a carved image or a moulded or drawn ones that denotes other gods and what is the biblical view regarding this unfortunate act and style of worship that is though our main area of concern?

It is worthy of note that the bible @ psalm 97: 7 says that it is Idolatory to worship false gods or the true God by the use of graven images, statues or pictures. Graven images according to https://www.merriam.webster.com can be referred to as an object of worship that are usually carved from wood or stones.

According to the bible book of exodus 20: 4&5,- "you must not make for yourselves a carved image or a form like anything that is in the heavens or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth".

Pls do ensure you had taken note of the statement above for a better understanding.

However, the scriptures still continues with; " you must not bow down to them or be induced to serve them, because i am Jehovah your God, am a God exacting exclusive devotion".

Take note of these two important key words - " am a God exacting exclusive devotion".

The word exclusive means in a position of a total control of something be it power or other things and by exacting we mean it to be in my own understanding, the act of giving out something authoritatively, which means when such statement is made again, you shall have been able to understand God's position with respect to being "a God that exacts exclusive devotion" right?

Then simply put it in another way that our dear true God is not pleased seeing us claim to be worshipping him using images, pictures, idols, icons, statues or perhaps symbols.😞😞

"Key words of advice"

We as christains work by faith do we not? Was it not by faith that Sarah Abraham's wife was able to conceive of a baby called Isaac at a very impossible old age of 90 years of age?

Was it not by faith that Abraham wanted to sacrifice his only son Isaac?

Was it not by faith that Abraham was pronounced as the father of all nations?

Was it not by faith that Mary the mother of Jesus conceived of a baby that would later be called Jesus the christ?

Was it not by faith that lot left his home of abode and went to a land God had asked him to go to?

Was it not by faith that David conquered the mighty Goliath?

Was it not by faith that the Israelites crossed the red sea on a plain ground?

Was it not by faith that Noah built an ark that save him, his household and many animals?

Was it not by faith that christ raised lazarus from the death?

Was it not by faith that Christ died and was raised on the third day?

Was it not by faith that Christ turned water into wine and fed a multitude of people?

Was it not by faith that Christ was able to resist the Devil who eventually fled away from him?

Was it not by faith that the three Hebrews: Shadrach, Missach and Abednego survived a ten times heated burning furnace?

The list of many outstanding faith expressions in the bible will keep going on and on without an end but since that's the case, it must be understood that our dear true God wants us to worship him in truth and in spirit and demonstrate that at all times by walking mainly in faith not on sight that is based on the empty teachings of men which according to the bible book of 2corinthians 5:7 is just as exact as it is.

Now the question again, is it right to make use of images be it wooden, carved or pictures in the worship of our true God? I need your wonderful comments and answers to the question asked above thank you.

All images were taken by meπŸ‘Œ

Then according to @ www.jw.org, it should be noted with reference to the bible book of exodus 20: 4 &5 that God is in a total demand of an exclusive devotion from us if we claim to profaine him.

I don't want to say any bad words about any religions friend. We Muslims believe there is God but no one see or hear it if HIM or Her too but mostly read, they refer it as Him.

People of different religions believe in it. I won't say anything special about it. Because there are people of different religions. Because my faith and your faith may not be one.

In our religion, we are not also worshipping anything from physical image. You know, in our belief, Jesus Christ is not a God. Though he is our saivor from our sins, you can't still say that Jesus Christ is higher than Almighty Gd. He is still a person at all cost, but I never say that he doesn't have a great role in us as a whole. I really don't have an idea why did they are worshipping carved wood as a representation of God or any other saints, though we must all respect our own traditions.
