We all get into habits and use money in the wrong way sometimes its up to you to make that change and to broaden your view on how to spend and what to spend money on.

Tip one- Avoid stress spending

We all do it, whether it's food for stress or shoes for stress, we all have a tendency to spend on stress. Take the time to think carefully on your actions next time you get that feeling. Tell stress your taking a free vacation by kicking your feet up and watching a good film instead. When you think of your mean ass boss or the million things you have to do just think about it and breathe before grabbing that wallet.

Tip two- Create a visual reminder of your dept

Forgetting or choosing to forget your dept can lead to an absolute financial disaster. Keep your mind on track when whipping out that credit card. You could even have a little notebook on hand or use your phone to keep tabs. Financial struggle can be extremely stressful, mentally, physically and emotionally. It is so easy to slip yourself into a bad financial space with each swipe. Make it a last resort kind of card whether your already in the doo-doo or not. You have the power to resist temptation darling!

Tip three- Write a list before you shop and stick to it

Having a budget when spending is one of the smartest things you could do to save cash. Go ahead, add that chocolate to the list, buy that bag of peanut butter clusters, just be sure to budget! You could save yourself so much moo-la, time and energy by making a simple checklist. It will give you a clear idea on more or less what you'll be spending. Oh, and best part, you won't get home and be like, "flip I forgot the onion!"

Tip four- Eat at home instead of going out

Take out, take out stands and restaurants are positively a money drainer. Yes, yes, it's so so good. The idea of grabbing and go, not having to prepare a meal for the kids. Well here's something you'd like to know.. your just pooping money away. And I mean that in the most unalogetically polite way. Instead of buying seven Nandos meals and seven drinks consider that money to be the value of two home cooked suppers. Gosh, you'll even be able to have seconds.

Tip five- Avoid the mall

The mall seems to be a place you go for one item and leave with a trolley. There's way too much temptation in each shop you just MUST GET IT. If your going three times a week, drop it down to two, you'll see the difference in your wallet. You can stream almost everything online nowadays.. I say, screw the cinemas. They're practically stealing your money. Don't get me wrong, sometimes a fat screen, the vibe of people and a Xx Large box of popcorn is great. Its just best for your financial status to make it a rare occasion instead of a constant one.

Tip six- Start a garden

Not the easiest idea but definitely a smart one. If you have the space, soil and time why not start a garden. It will take time to get it going but how nice would it be to just walk outside and pick a few grapes. A whole grapevine practically for free.

Tip seven- Buy used when you can

We all love buying new things whether it's a new phone, a watch or a Nike hoodie Well you should know there are sites and charity stores you could find exactly what your looking for, second hand, but practically new. Some people have a phobia for "used" but if your not one of those people you could find yourself some real bargains. Ontop of it you could be giving back while doing what you love... Spending!

These are all the techniques I have for now there are millions more but I find these seven tricks to be some of the smartest ways to go about it. Remember to spend only what you need to and how unnecessary spending can have a massive negative impact in the long run.
