A digital currency trading platform that launches a Bitcoin wallet with fingerprint recognition technology
The crypto market is developing dramatically and rapidly, which is evident through the related products of hardware wallets that have evolved greatly between the past and the present.
The Gate.io cryptocurrency exchange recently launched a new hardware wallet called "Wallet S1" to enhance the safety and security of storing private keys for digital currencies.
Gate.io is a Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency exchange, with a daily turnover of $ 63 million. With the new hardware portfolio, Gate.io aims to enhance its security practices that it provides to customers.
The hardware wallet, "Wallet S1", provides a special solution to save private keys and keep them safely away from the Internet. The fingerprint recognition technology, as indicated in the title, distinguishes the wallet.
The fingerprint recognition technology will allow users to unlock and access the wallet without having to remember and type in complex passwords every time.
Mary Tatipuet, Marketing Director at Gate.io, said in the announcement of the new portfolio:
The private key is locked in the device itself, away from the Internet, and it is more convenient to sign when the user engages in daily dealings with digital currencies.
She added:
It is the first hardware wallet to be equipped with a fingerprint recognition algorithm, making it a world leader and can automatically configure when a security attack is detected.
Gate.io says the "Wallet S1" wallet supports more than 10,000 cryptocurrencies, including major digital currencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Meanwhile, Gate.io indicated that the launch is part of a broader plan to build a private blockchain network called "GateChain".
In the future, it is expected that the hardware wallet will be integrated with the new blockchain on which Gate.io is working, to interact seamlessly with DeFi applications.
