A private jet sales company has allowed its customers to pay via Bitcoin (BTC). The cost of buying a private jet is approximately 3750 bitcoins.
US-based Aviatrade is currently selling a 2014 version of the 2014 Gulfstream G650ER for about $ 40 million, approximately $ 3,750, according to Business Insider. Billionaires are said to have bought both models, including Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, which can travel up to 7,500 nautical miles, roughly the distance between Los Angeles and Sydney. The Aviatrade website states:
We accept bitcoins as payment for all bizjet purchases.
Aviatrade CEO Philip Rushton said that using Fiat to buy private jets in some countries is subject to some overseas restrictions. This is not the first time that an aircraft sales company has accepted payment for cryptocurrencies.
