When I went to the market in the morning, I asked the seller, "How many kilos of potatoes?" He told me "potatoes cost $0.4 per kg" which was only $0.20 per kg a few days ago. I asked the seller what is the reason for the increase in the prices of all daily necessities and green vegetables in such an unusual way? "The war between Ukraine and Russia has dragged the market down," he told me. I asked him, "We don't have to import from Ukraine or Russia, but if enough potatoes are grown in our country, then the price of potatoes should not increase!" Do not need electricity to irrigate the land? Will potato farmers benefit if they sell potatoes at the same price as the prices of daily necessities are increasing? " After hearing so many questions from him, I became quite silent.

There is logic in his every word because Russia is the largest country that supplies almost one-third of the world's gas. Major countries of the world generate electricity using their imported gas. Our country now understands the need for Russia as Russia cut off gas supplies. Because our country can no longer generate electricity due to lack of fuel gas. Due to shortage of electricity, our government has given a notice that all market offices will be closed after 8 pm to save electricity. Power supply will be off for four to five hours per day as per a fixed routine.

Suppose you eat the fruit of a tree, and you know what you need to do to eat the fruit of that tree regularly? That fruit tree needs to be taken care of to grow bigger. But how to take care? Care for the top part of the plant or care for the roots of the plant below the ground? Of course the answer would be to take care of the roots of the plant underground.

Electricity held our economic condition like the roots of that tree. Electricity is the most basic need in our daily life and without electricity everything is useless. And since electricity is not being produced properly in the country at present due to which the prices of daily necessities which are related to electricity are increasing. It is said that about 99% of daily necessities and food items are related to electricity.

The Russia-Ukraine war is responsible for the current global market situation. And some unscrupulous businessmen who use the Russia-Ukraine war to increase the prices of daily necessities. As a result, the common people have suffered. Common people are now eating only two meals a day instead of three meals. Countries like Africa, Afghanistan, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh are on the way to become bankrupt.

Dwindling foreign exchange reserves, unplanned governance, abnormally high corruption are responsible for the economic collapse of a country.

However, the agreement signed between Russia, Turkey and Iran yesterday to market crops and import them shows that the country will return to normal conditions very soon. Europe lifts gas import ban on Russia But it is understood that the Western countries have never been satisfied with this agreement rather they want the trouble to go further.

Hope they will come to their senses very soon and both peace and food will return to the country.
