It is normal for the people of every state to have freedom of speech. One group of people in the state parliament will talk about the development of the state, while the other party will talk about the underdevelopment of the state. Every person in the state will share his wishes, aspirations, opinions on their various issues with others, will work for the country.

But what do we mean by freedom of speech? When there is any talk! Or insulting others, talking in shame? Freedom of speech does not mean insulting one another.

Let's say with a such example. I have been studying at a university for 3 years now. None of the varsities where I have seen can talk about administration. No one can catch the administration's mistake. No one can disrespect a teacher by taunting him. Anyone who speaks out against any wrongdoing at the varsity is suspended from the varsity. In such a situation there was no freedom of speech in our varsity. Which is against the law of the land. We could see that the head of our varsity, that is, we call him VC or Vice Chancellor. He took away our freedom of speech and engaged in various misdeeds. He embezzled millions of dollars and hindered the development of the varsity.

Later the matter became very serious. When corruption and scandals spread in the varsity, the fears of the varsity students were shattered. We all started a movement against the VC of the varsity then. The movement was for more specific reasons, including the removal of the vice chancellor. We all offered a few conditions to the Vice Chancellor and the University.

  • Our university vice chancellor has to leave the varsity in 2-3 days.

  • Among the major irregularities of that varsity were extra money for collection of semester fees, admission fees, hall fees. So our second condition was to stop charging extra fees.

  • While studying at that varsity, one thing they all realized was that their lives were not secure there. Because the vice chancellor of our varsity was a local person. His power in that region was very high He had a few terrorist groups there. Now you may ask, what is your relationship with that terrorist group? Yes! There are relationships. He used to threaten us in various ways when we opened our mouths about the irregularities of the varsity. He was especially afraid of being attacked by terrorists. Even when we were in a state of agitation, our Vice Chancellor harassed us in various ways by his terrorists. We have faced his terrorist and many younger and older brothers of our varsity have been seriously injured. Their terrorists were not only outside the varsity, but also inside the varsity. Because he has given jobs to many uneducated local people in varsity. Those who are called third class workers. They also showed a kind of power in the middle of the varsity. So that was our third point. "Irregularly distributing third class workers who get jobs at varsity."

  • "Pure Water Supply" Another of the varsity's problems was the supply of clean water. Although there is pure water only 5 km away from the university, there was no clean water supply in a place like a university. The vice-chancellor, who reached the peak of corruption, did not bring clean water to the varsity even from a distance of only 5 km, despite the huge amount of money from the varsity UGC for water supply. If that was the biggest annoyance of the students in the hall including the general students.

  • Recruitment of ignorant teachers with uncontrolled departmental growth. To teach in a university, a teacher needs to have a minimum qualification to do a PhD in that subject. But our university teachers would be hired only after passing the first step i.e. honors level. That teacher had no research, no PHD, no teacher experience. This is because of the uncontrolled corruption of the Vice Chancellor. And our movement was against the appointment of such ignorant teachers.

Some more such corruption, irregularities were started against our Vice Chancellor. The duration of the movement is very long and we have to face many problems in this freedom of speech movement. There are all kinds of threats against us. Our exploration goes on day and night.

This is the first part of "the fall of the vice Chancellor of our University Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University" I will share the second part later. I'm sharing it with two part because I think the story is going to big!

Thank you, hope you enjoying the story of freedom of speech. :)

There should be a freedom for all, regarding speech. Actually it is what, when the more is poured in small container.

Yeah as a human, we all have freedom of speech and we use this right in the good way and always try our best to take action against the bad people or authorities. And that's good you take Action against the V.C of your university and kicked out him hope so your next vice chancellor will be a good person.
