WhatsApp users on the web are going to get fingerprint verification. And it's coming fast.
Facebook has come a long way in launching the biometric security feature on the web.
According to a site called Webinetinfo, the team that has worked on mobile security is working to bring the benefit to the web.
The team is currently testing the feature on the web as a beta. If all goes well they will let users use the beta version.
According to the report, when using the web, you have to give a finger for a certain period of time. That's when WhatsApp will be unlocked on the web.
The new feature will allow WhatsApp to be used on computers faster and more securely, the report said.
However, no information has been found as to whether Face Unlock facility will be introduced as security.
Currently you need to use WhatsApp on the web to scan a QR code.
