How many atomic bombs are there in a country?

Nine countries currently have 16,300 atomic bombs. However, efforts to reduce the number of these bombs continue. Let's find out how many atomic bombs a country has through this album.

Russia has the most atomic bombs, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). The number of such bombs in the country is more than seven and a half thousand The country conducted its first nuclear test in 1949.

Second United States: The United States built the first atomic bomb and is the only country to have used it in war. The country now has more than 7,000 nuclear bombs.

Atomic bomb on submarine: France has about three hundred nuclear warheads. Most of these are in submarines. At least one of the country's submarines always patrols with atomic bombs.

China is not far behind: China has about 250 atomic bombs. Although the number is lower than Russia or the United States, the country is slowly increasing this number. It is possible to drop these bombs on land, air or sea.

The UK also has atomic bombs: The UK has more than two hundred atomic bombs. The country, a permanent member of the UN Security Council, conducted its first nuclear test in 1952.

Pakistan ahead in South Asia: Pakistan has already fought three wars with neighboring India. The country has more than a hundred atomic bombs. The country has recently increased the number of nuclear bombs. Many fear that the country's war with its neighbor could turn into a nuclear war at some point.

India does not stop: India conducted its first nuclear test in 1984. The country has more than ninety atomic bombs. India, however, has said it will not hit any country before, and will never use such bombs against countries that do not have nuclear bombs.

Less information about Israel: Israel, however, does not disclose much about its nuclear program. The country is thought to have eighty nuclear warheads. North Korea is at the bottom: According to the information published so far, North Korea has less than ten nuclear bombs. However, it is not certain whether the country has the capability to make such bombs on its own.

nuclear weapon (also called an atom bomb, nuke, atomic bomb, nuclear warhead, A-bomb, or nuclear bomb) is an explosive device that derives its destructive force from nuclear reactions, either fission (fission bomb) or from a combination of fission and fusion reactions (thermonuclear bomb). Both bomb types release large quantities of energy from relatively small amounts of matter. The first test of a fission ("atomic") bomb released an amount of energy approximately equal to 20,000 tons of TNT (84 TJ).[1] The first thermonuclear ("hydrogen") bomb test released energy approximately equal to 10 million tons of TNT (42 PJ). Nuclear bombs have had yields between 10 tons TNT (the W54) and 50 megatons for the Tsar Bomba (see TNT equivalent). A thermonuclear weapon weighing little more than 2,400 pounds (1,100 kg) can release energy equal to more than 1.2 million tons of TNT (5.0 PJ).[2] A nuclear device no larger than traditional bombs can devastate an entire city by blast, fire, and radiation. Since they are weapons of mass destruction, the proliferation of nuclear weapons is a focus of international relations policy.
