The Chinese government has announced the lease of more than 100 islands in the southern province of Liaoning. Due to various reasons, no settlement has been established on the islands so far. The government thinks that if these islands with natural beauty can be used properly, it will also be helpful for the tourism industry.
With this in mind, it has been decided to rent the islands without leaving them. At the same time, the government is planning to collect huge amount of revenue by renting the island. The Department of Finance and Natural Resources of Liaoning Province is also campaigning vigorously on the issue. The notification is already being disseminated through the country's social media. There are 733 islands in this province of China. Of these, only 44 islands are inhabited. The government is planning to boost the tourism sector by leasing 569 vacant islands. These islands on the shores of the Yellow Sea, which separate China from neighboring North Korea, have immense potential. The rent for the island ranges from ৫ 535 per hectare (Rs 45,000) to Rs 300 million. This huge difference in the rent of the island is mainly based on the infrastructural facilities.
The government's fancy announcement to lease the island has caused quite a stir through Chinese social media. Many are joking about it, some are planning to buy an island with friends. However, the government has warned not to make fun of the issue. That being said, if anyone really wants to buy an island, they have to send a plan for it, how it will happen, everything has to be in that plan report. Only then will the government decide who can buy the island and who can't. — CNN
