Causes of Anemia

Blood loss.

Most common cause of Anemia is blood loss, especially iron deficiency anemia.blood loss can b short term or persist over time.heavy menstrual periods or bleeding in digestive system or urinary tract can cause blood loss.if a lot of blood is lost,the body may loose enough red blood cells to cause anemia.

Hormones.

Your body needs the hormones erythropoi-etn to make red blood cells.this hormones stimulate the bone marrow to make These cells.the low level of this hormones can lead to anemia.

Pregnancy.

Anemia can occur during pregnancy due to low level of folic acid and iron and changes in blood.during the first 6month of pregnancy,the fluid portion of women blood (plasma) increases faster than the number of red blood cells.this dilute the blood and can lead to anemia.

Aplastic Anemia.

Some infants are born without the ability to make enough red blood cells.this condition is called aplastic Anemi.infants or children who have aplastic anemia often need blood transfusion to increase number of red blood cells in their blood.acquired condition or factor,such a certain medicines, toxins and infectious diseases also can cause aplastic anemia.
