Road accidents are an unpleasant and unexpected event that is almost always organized on the roads by vehicles. At present road accidents have become a common occurrence in Bangladesh. We get news of road accidents in daily newspapers. A few days ago we had a tragic accident right in front of our eyes. I was walking on the sidewalk. I noticed that a truck was coming very fast. Suddenly I saw a young boy crossing the street. He was very careless and he did not notice at all that a truck was coming at such a dangerous speed. The truck driver tried his best to stop his truck but by then the boy had been hit. The crowd rushed to the spot. I ran to the boy and saw that he was unconscious. Blood was flowing on the road. I got the injured boy in the car and told the driver to go to the Upazila Health Center. There the doctors and nurses took overall care of him. But sadly, he died there. I couldn't stand the scene. Feeling weary, I returned home.
