Elephant Rock is a natural rock formation on the West man Islands archipelago ,located proximately 7.4 kilometers off Iceland south coast .
It fascinates visitors because it resembles the head of a giant Elephant which has submerged half it's trunk underwater in an attempt to quench it's thirst with the Atlantic Ocean .
