Putting Down Roots

Putting Down Roots”. This photo kinda happened by accident, or at least the pose did. I’d originally imagined a much more tranquil scene, but when I got to location the wind was blowing around 40 mph as some freak clouds rolled in. More than once this tree and I were sent crashing down the hillside along with my camera. It took all of my weight just to keep it upright for a few seconds at a time. In the end I felt like the candid shots readjusting it turned out more dynamic and contributed better overall to the concept. This image serves as a continuation of a previous photograph called “Ready to Move On”, one of my favorites from this year
