A year ago I was fortunate to have enough time to make a detour to one of Japan’s most popular tourist attractions, the Snow Monkey park near Shigakogen. Once there it was evident how popular the place is...photographer were lined up with huge DSLR’s and many iPhones and it was like the scrum of press photographers at the 100m final at the Olympic Games. Staggering how many pictures would have been taken just in that one hour that I was there..... how many Gigabytes of digits? Yet the animated, emotional faces of the monkeys chilling in the hot onsen baths was captivating experience, even if perhaps it wasn’t as wild an environment as it perhaps could have been.

Interesting article The Nijubashi Bridge connects the Imperial Palace front Plaza called the Kokyo Gaien and the Imperial Place over a deep moat.
