People are instinctively peace loving. In search of peace, nomadic people one day founded civilization. With the endless possibilities of stability and nature, human civilization gradually began to walk the path of prosperity. But this prosperity gradually complicates the human mind and society. Class struggle, conflict, greed are born. Man builds society and state and gives birth to regulatory and powerful ruling class to run human civilization smoothly. And immediately the game of exploitation, abuse of power and destruction begins. This game still exists. Even in the twentieth century, we have to bear the brunt of it. Because greed, vengeance, ignorance of the human mind has created this game, which is mixed with the existence of human civilization. The altar of this civilization has therefore been repeatedly stained with blood. Conflict and war have destroyed the lives and dreams of millions of people. That is why the message of peace is being uttered on the faces of millions of people in the world today.

Birth of the idea of world peace:

From the beginning of creation, people have been involved in wars and conflicts. In the early stages, war was just a struggle for existence or survival. Later, wars were fought to increase borders and resources. Later, after the birth of nationalism, the war for state possession and domination began. The unprecedented advancement of science and civilization in the last century, taking people one step further towards a terrible and destructive war, began the Great War. The violence of the Great War changed people's perceptions. Then we have to think of world peace. In simple words, World War II is the father of the concept of world peace.

Changing the world situation:

After witnessing the horrors of the First World War, US President Woodrow Wilson came up with the idea of creating an organization that would solve problems on the basis of mutual understanding between countries. This is the first time that the concept of global peace has emerged. The League of Nations was formed for this purpose. But due to various mismanagement compromises, it broke down. It is the first organization in the world whose main goal was to establish world peace. All the efforts of the League of Nations failed and World War II started in 1939. The development of armaments and the invention of nuclear power centered on the Great War changed the history of human civilization. In 1945, the United States destroyed the Japanese city of Hiroshima, Nagasaki, with a nuclear bomb. Evidence of the horrific attack of this weapon is still being passed down from two cities and the people of the city from generation to generation. This attack proves how terrible the crisis of our human civilization is. People today are embarrassed by their own violence. So, even after the development of nuclear weapons during the Cold War after World War II, it was not implemented considering its enormity. Although the power of man to destroy has multiplied, the world powers have become more powerful, yet this weapon has not yet been used. At any time the price of revenge may have to be paid to human civilization. Citizens of the world are therefore aware today. Their movement and protest have further strengthened the demand for world peace. No state victory, no power domination, they want world peace. Their thinking has changed the course of world politics. Today, statesmen are emphasizing world peace in a new way.

The horrors of science and modern weapons:

The use of science and technology has threatened human civilization in one way or another. International organizations oppose the use of deadly weapons on paper, but in reality its victims are the weaker nations of the Third World. Many large states have dominated small states over the right to nuclear power. Conflicts of foreign policy and interests between the world's major powers are raising fears of a third world war, increasing countries' spending on the military. The United States, Russia, France, Japan, India have all spent money in this sector. The United States is building long-range missiles, submarines, and nuclear warplanes. War has spread to planets and satellites. Military scientists are studying how to destroy enemy satellites with laser beams. The world is closing in on more conflicts to gather the energy and fuel needed to run these weapons. The 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq killed millions of men, women and children. Where the whole world today is devastated by hunger, poverty and natural disasters, the world powers are wreaking havoc only for petty interests and power. As a result, thousands of innocent lives are being lost.

The pen war of poets and writers for world peace:

Art and literature are called the reflection of society. Poets and writers highlight the form and history of society through their writings. Needless to say, we know our civilization through their writing. The horrors of war, the message of world peace we find in their creations. Pablo Picasso's white dove is flying with thousands of wings in the blue sky all over the country today. The demand for peace spread all over the world during the Second World War. The "War and Anti-Fascist Association" was formed. Many paintings and literary works have been written to spread the message of world peace.

World Peace in Film and Electronic Media:

Film and electronic media have made an unprecedented contribution to popularizing the word world peace worldwide. In this 21st century, news TVs such as Al-Jazeera and the BBC have been covering the peace process around the world. Besides, it has organized talk shows and seminars for and against various missions. Taking the opinion of statesmen about world peace. Newspapers and online media are creating media pressure for world peace. Numerous films have been made on war and conflict, including Stanley Kubrick's The Path of Glory, Roberto Benigni's Life Is Beautiful. In Bangladesh too, there have been various films including "Jayayatra, Guerrilla" highlighting the horrors of the 1971 War of Independence. And again and again the world is reminded of bringing peace.

The United Nations and its movement:

The United Nations was established for the purpose of world peace. It has specific policies and a well-equipped military. Since its inception in 1945, it has served as a vehicle for bringing peace to the conflicting nations. The United Nations is responsible for resolving the refugee problem in Congo, Sudan, controlling global terrorism, conducting military operations in Afghanistan-Pakistan and other countries. Moreover, small countries can express their demands through the United Nations to bring world peace. The United Nations and the rest of the world are dominating because the world powers are the power of massive donations. Which is the main obstacle in bringing world peace.

Global reality:

We all understand the need for world peace. We also know what we need to do to maintain world peace. But still we are not free, not liberal in the world of thought and knowledge. Our ignorance and inferiority have in many cases enslaved us. Notable among the obstacles to world peace are:

- The abuse of globalization,

- Abuse of the international community,

- aggression of power,

- Poverty,

- Economic imbalances,

- Terrorism and global social instability,

- The gradual development of death,

- The paralysis and slavery of the human mind,

- Dominance of world power.

Ending:

We have to overcome all obstacles and move forward. War, conflict means death, fasting, famine. Today, millions of people around the world have woken up to bring the civilization that has been built by human beings from the brink of destruction. Everyone must stand in a line, to create a new definition of unity. The black claws of aggression and slavery must be thrown on top. Civilization must be saved from the sting of barbarism. The pillar of peace must be strengthened through human revolution.
