Poets and writers have been moving people's hearts with creative work for ages. Language is not complete as soon as it is born. The perfection of language has come in the touch of writers. All the unique creations like poems, songs, stories, novels seem to have given new life to the language. Just as Bengali literature as a unique and complete language has a rich repertoire, so does the literature of Bangladesh have all the visual works. Considering the aspect of literature, the literary field of Bangladesh has been written in an impeccable context. Such a diverse literary field cannot be found anywhere else in the world.

โ˜…Nature of literature of Bangladesh:

The green arena of literature of this country has been decorated in many ways. Once upon a time in the field of literature, the great men of rebellion spread the melody of Agnibina with poison flute like a desert Bedouin. The sailor of the seven seas has ever dreamed of waking up a sleeping nation. The shepherd boy of Metho Path has weaved the heartbreaking pain of the grave in the field of Nakshi Kantha. The son of a Bengali mother is looking for the lost pendulum of his mother all over the fields and ghats of Bengal. The fiery daughters of Bengali literature have come forward to inform women that there is a world beyond family and husband service. To highlight the importance of women's education, she has fought all her life against conservative society, orthodoxy and superstition. The literature of this beautiful Bangladesh is as diverse as the seasons. The rural life of Bengal, the busy life of the city, is enchanted by this beauty.

โ˜…Nazrul in Bangladeshi literature:

Nazrul appeared like a comet in the arena of Bengali literature. Kazi Nazrul Islam is a world class genius in twentieth century Bengali literature. He is as eternal and luminous as the morning star in the literature of Bangladesh. In the age of Rabindra, when all the other poets of Bengali literature, like Jonaki, were dreaming like a firefly, in the midst of the dazzling light in the middle sky of Rabindra Pratibha, the young man of twenty-two years wandered in Boundule. In his writings, Kazi Nazrul Islam highlighted the conflict between humanity, equality and imperialism. His uncompromising attitude towards the English has imprisoned him.

His indestructible songs, rebellious poems, ghazals, essays, stories, novels have enriched the literary scene of Bangladesh. The song of his youth, the radiance of youth, sounds like a beacon of awakening in the hearts of millions of young people. Even in the war of independence of Bangladesh, the songs of the poets have calmed the warriors like gunpowder. Soldiers of World War II learned Arabic, Urdu and Persian quite well. His translated Rubaiyat-i Omar Khayyam and Diwan-i-Hafiz have given a different dimension to the translation literature of our country. Kazi Nazrul Islam is the renaissance poet of Bengali Muslims.

โ˜…Women's Awakening in the Literature of Bangladesh:

Women writers also had a vocal role in enriching the literary treasure of this country. Women writers appeared in Bengali literature in the middle of the eighteenth century. These majestic women lit the lamp of women's education in their homes at that time. In the last half of the nineteenth century, Nawab Faizunnesa devoted herself to the creation of literature among Bengali women. Her literary work "Rupjalal" later encouraged many women to pursue literature. Begum Rokeya is said to be the pioneer of awakening in the literature of Bangladesh. Despite being a woman of a conservative society, she has awakened the feelings of women in this country through the practice of literature. Her writings "Dreams of blockade, Padmarag or Sultana" will be a beacon in the eyes of women for ages. In 1952, Sufia Kamal, a brave girl, became an ornament of women's society by participating in the language movement. He was also a man of modern mind in pre-independence society. He has shown people the dream of changing the society through the practice of literature. Both social service and pen have continued in the same rhythm. We respectfully call her "Janani Sahasika". He was influenced by Nazrul, Rokeya and Jasim Uddin at the same time. Rabindranath read his "Sajher Maya" and wrote to him in a letter: "Your poetry amazes me. Your place in Bengali literature is high and your establishment is strong. โ€ Not only in literature, but in the minds of the people of Bangladesh, Sufia Kamal Druv has been established by her own nature.

โ˜…Folklore Context in Bangladeshi Literature:

Jasim Uddin is a well-known village poet in Bengali literature and Al Mahmud is a modern folk poet. The nature, tradition and history of abhaman Bengal seems to have got a touch of life in his poems. Nadimata is a well-known but ever new fog in Bengal. His book "Kaler Kalas, Sonali Kabin" called him a living legend in the literary arena of Bangladesh. After Jasim Uddin, no one else has been able to take the literature of Bangladesh to the soil, to the river. The innate feeling of his poems, the word folk, takes the reader into the rural atmosphere. This living legendary writer is as simple and beautiful as the soil, people and rivers of Bangladesh. The literature written by him will make us hear the smell of dry soil for a long time. Like Pankauri or Dahuk, he is an integral part of our nature and literature.

โ˜…Modern era in Bangladeshi literature:

The modern era of Bangladeshi literature has been highlighted in the footsteps of many powerful writers. Multidimensional writers like Shamsur Rahman, Humayun Azad, Humayun Ahmed have taken the reins of modern Bengali literature. Shamsur Rahman has brought the rhythm of modernity in his writing. Humayun Azad's choice of words and metaphorical style has taken the Bengali language to new heights. And the easy-going words, the extraordinary story, the magical power of narration have taken Humayun Ahmed very close to the reader. His writing easily enters the alleys of the heart. No one else in Bengali literature has been able to create a mysterious character like "Blissful Hell, Conch Blue Prison" or Himu. The modern era of Bangladeshi literature can therefore be said to be rich, varied and reader-friendly in one word. In these two decades, the number of literary readers has almost doubled. Which has started a bright horizon in the literature of this country.

The literature of Bangladesh is as rich as the history and tradition of the Bengali nation. Numerous talented writers have played in the open field of Bengali literature. Bangladeshi literature has got a unique status in their creative literary work. From prehistoric times to the present, the literary scene of Bengal has been illuminated by the light of innumerable stars.
