Lloyd Cafe Cadena, a popular Filipino personality many hailed as "one of the pioneers of YouTube vlogging" in the Philippines, has died. He was 26.
Cadena's family announced his death in a statement posted to Facebook Friday.
"It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the untimely demise of our beloved brother Lloyd Cafe Cadena," reads the statement shared to his nearly 7 million Facebook followers. "My family and I ask for your prayers, respect, and privacy during this time."
Although the statement didn't share a cause of death, his family said they hope Cadena will be "remembered for all the joy and laughter he shared with everyone" worldwide.

Cadena rose to prominence on YouTube by documenting his travel, adventures and "all other crazy random things he'll get into as he curiously explores the world," according to his YouTube bio. He garnered over 3 million subscribers and more than 252 million views on his channel.
Cadena's fanbase, which he nicknamed the "Cadenators," flooded his social media channels with tributes. Many fans credited him with paving the way for fellow Filipino content creators.
"No words would emulate how Lloyd Cafe Cadena was an icon. He was one of the pioneers in YouTube. He arguably made Philippine YouTube as it is," one fan tweeted. "Without him, I couldn't imagine getting quality content from Filipinos on YouTube. Rest In Peace for the Most Iconic Kween."
Other fans thanked Cadena for being a bright light in their lives.
"Lloyd Cafe Cadena is one of the best influencers," one fan wrote. "He's one of the (sources) of my happiness. He never failed to make me laugh...May you rest in peace kween. You will always be in our hearts."
Another social media user added: "Thank you for all the laughs that you've given to me especially when i was in my dark days. may you rest in peace, lloyd cafe cadena."
Cadena shared his last tweet Wednesday, writing, "11:11 Healing for Everyone!"
Cadena is the latest loss for the YouTube community following the recent deaths of Landon Clifford, Nicole Thea and Corey La Barrie.
