For many vegans out there, it can be hard to find good tasting chocolate from some of the most well-known brands.

Recently, Mars released a Vegan Galaxy chocolate bar to the joy of many plant-based, eco-friendly dieters in Birmingham, the West Midlands and beyond.

And for many, many years vegans have been waiting for Birmingham-founded Cadbury to reveal its plans to create a plant-based bar of chocolatey goodness.

Back in February, there were multiple outlets reporting that the company, which is now run by US confectionery giant Mondelez International, was in the process of creating a vegan chocolate bar.

The Telegraph reported that the bar was currently undergoing trials as companies continue to keep up to pace with the demand for food products.

But in a recent tweet by the UK branch of Cadbury, there is no plans at the moment to release the rumoured bar to the general public.

At least not any time soon anyway.

User @ImKhan70 asked the chocolate manufacture when it plans to release a vegan version on their chocolate where it responded and said it was "aware of the rise in consumer interest towards vegan products" but there are "no immediate plans for a Vegan Cadbury bar" .

However, the company did say that there were "exciting developments in the pipeline" and told people to "watch this space".

So if you're a vegan and you've been holding out for a vegan Dairy Milk, you might have to wait a little bit longer unfortunately.
