Twitter has added a feature of a "tip jar" to pay the users for good tweeting. Isn't this concept sound familiar to read.cash readers?
Twitter is an American microblogging and social networking service, where users can tweet on Twitter in which they can share their opinions in a post and interact with messages known as "tweets". Registered users are allowed to post and retweet tweets, but unregistered users are only allowed to read them.
Twitter's "tip jar"
The company has confirmed that this feature will assist financially to the ones spreading the words which are helpful for others. The audience can instantly tip that person over that tip jar and make their day.
Initially, there is a selective group of people who are allowed to receive the tip via twitter's tip jar. This group includes, "creators", "journalists", "experts", and non-profits Over time, this feature will roll out for all of the persons who are tweeting.
This Twitter's "tip jar" is possible with PayPal's integration mechanism.
The similarity between "tip jar" and read.cash
We as a read.cash readers, writers, and the ones supporting this platform are already familiar with this concept of tipping the content which is unique, of great value, and shares a tone of hope.
The tippers on read.cash pay in Bitcoin Cash(BCH), whereas, on Twitter's "tip jar" the usual fiat currencies.
I will leave it to you to think, which is a better model of tipping, but to me as a reader, writer over this read.cash platform and a user over Twitter, I think this tipping concept has been integrated really well by read.cash may be the source of influence behind Twitter's "tip jar".
