Good Night my Redcafriends, I hope this Excellent of Wonders tonight, today I want to start a series of research posts for the community, of this great channel, which I am going to title LIFE AND COLOR.
Today MINEROLOGY Chapter 1.
Mineralogy is part of natural history, and more specifically geology, which has as its object the study of minerals; understanding by mineral all the inorganic body of known chemical composition that is part of the lithosphere.
When minerals form large masses of stone, these masses are called rocks.
The economic importance of minerals is extraordinary, since in ancient times man saw their usefulness and looked for some (Fibrolite and Flint) for the manufacture of weapons, axes, punches, arrowheads, etc.
Over the centuries, man has made more use of minerals, currently the most important sections in which they can be classified, according to their usefulness, are: metalliferous minerals, pigments, refractories, fluxes, abrasives, fertilizers, minerals for the manufacture of chemical devices, precious stones and ornamentation.
Last but not least, minerals according to their formation are classified into:
1. From magmatic rocks.
2. Sedimentary rocks.
3. Metamorphic rocks.
4. Philonian rocks.
5. Organic rocks.
