Artificial Intelligence

What they don't want you to know is something that will hurt every country all over the World. Some countries will be effected more so than others at first. The nerve racking possibilities of what will happen once A.I. takes over completely and why we are still pushing forward with A.I. and why it is you and I that are making the advancements easier for A.I.

Artificial Intelligence should scare you about as equally as Nuclear Warfare. In a day and age that we value privacy, but we give up all of our privacy to enjoy the luxuries of technology. We are all more or less guilty of this, the typical users starts with a smart phone. Maybe Android or Apple, either the way the outcome is losing even more privacy.

All of that data is than compiled and used for the companies own research as well as sold off to the highest bidder/s. The end out come of all that data collected goes to benefit Neural Networks. Neural Networks got it's name from the Brain. After all a Neural Network is mans program for a function digital brain. Pretty cool? I think so...

While it all sounds fascinating and can benefit society as a whole when used in the right manner, it can ultimately end in an apocalypse situation for man kind. The benefits as we think of usually start out on Factory floors where we see a giant robotic arm or an conveyor built, even possibly an autonomous drill. Either way the unrealized outcome is jobs start to get replaced.

The effect over all seems like it doesn't matter in the overall bigger picture of things. However as we enter the large scale up that is coming in the next decade we are going to start seeing the already ridiculous unemployment rates, homeless rates and people starving to death sky rocket. Society itself was already doomed by the greed of every individual alive today.

Now that greed has new ways of becoming even greedier. We get overwhelmed in our own worlds that we don't stop to take the time to even think about what the technology we are currently embracing with arms wide open will do to our society collectively as a whole. We don't think about Jim who lives down the road and works 40+ hours a week just to support his wife and 4 kids by his self since his wife can't work.

Jim is a good ole' down to Earth type of guy with traditional values similar to most of us. Jim wasn't fortunate enough to have a rich family to pay his way through college and he couldn't physically make the cut to get the Army to pay for school either. He wasn't even fortunate enough to get Government Grants for school and not a company in the world would give him a student loan.

Jim had to go straight from school to working his life away for next to nothing. Jim worked most of his life at this factory before that robotic arm was place at the end of conveyor belt and programmed with Artificial Intelligence in order to pick up and move items from location A to location B while ensuring quality. This seemed really awesome to Jim at first who thought his job would get a whole lot easier.

However poor Jim is no longer need because the robotic arm is cheaper when you start thinking in terms of pay, entitlements and liability. The robotic arm doesn't require sleep, brakes, pay. You don't have to worry about that robotic arm telling Larry about his crazy weekend for 45 minutes instead of hitting production rates. That robotic arm will continue as long as it is programmed for provided it doesn't alarm itself out.

Now lets turn back to Jim who still has that wife at home and his 4 children to support. They all need health insurance, clothes, food and shelter. Jim also has expenses just from school, not to mention Jim and his wife also need Health Insurance, food, clothes. Jim also has a car payment to pay in order to drive around and find a job now. That car requires Jim to pay Car Insurance each month or he could wind up in jail or prison.

Jim isn't any different the other 95% of the World just living paycheck to paycheck. However Jim is slightly different because a robotic arm took away Jim's paycheck for good. Jim goes 4 weeks out of work and is already getting his car reposed, evicted from his home and possibly getting a divorce from his wife. The impact of Jim being replaced and losing his job doesn't just impact Jim but directly impacts Jim's family.

Jim's family depended on his paycheck to maintain the life styles they had become accustomed to. Jim's financial situation added stress and ultimately harmed his marriage and his relationship with his children. A direct consequence of the split up of his marriage added alimony and child support to Jim's plate. Jim's ex-wife is now on food stamps and government health insurance for herself and the kids. Jim's wife is also on section 8 now. Jim's wife is now doing better than Jim who is living in dumpster.

While not every Jim story will end with Jim getting a divorce and living in a dumpster, a lot of them will. Even sadder will be homeless children whom will be starving to death. We are not currently seeing a whole lot of Jim situations, but at A.I. evolves and becomes more cost effective major corporations will be forced into A.I. for production and every thing else.

We already have companies such as Amazon with the delivery drones and self service stores. The implications of how many jobs Amazon's self service stores will replace is staggering and honestly gut wrenching. The facts are already don't have enough jobs for every person on Earth and we keep on multiplying. That is our human nature, we can't fault ourselves for it. Tell me what happens to the hundreds of millions of people who lose jobs because of this?

Now in the coming decade or so as technology evolves further in regards to A.I. we will eventually see an A.I. that is released with out restrictions which more than likely will end in a doomsday event like Hollywood has portrayed in plenty of films already. We could see an A.I. that takes over the worlds Missile systems and literally Nukes us all.

This may sound like a laughable matter right now, but the reality is coming to light. We are experimenting in some pretty major fields of technology that could potentially end society all together in the long-term future if we don't watch our foot steps very carefully.

We are seeing even more technology advancements that ultimately threaten the livelihood of millions. We need to be conscious of what our new technology will do families across the world. Had someone thought about Jim before putting a robotic arm up instead of keeping Jim around, he would still be happily married with his family.
