Who else here loves a Guava? Or "Bayabas" in the Philippines. Who loves to climb in Guava tree when they were just a child? I'm sure anyone here experience that, your childhood is not complete if you didn't try that. Eating while you're still on the tree, and because you have a friend who don't know how to climb, or afraid to climb you will tease him/her by eating it with gusto and you're friend who feel betrayed and offended thought of a good way of revenge, and that is just by "Shaking the Guava Tree" and that end his evil thought because boom "Plakda." Anyone who do that to their friends? Hahaha.
Guava tree or "Psidium Guajava Linn" has a big role in our childhood days, climbing with friends, eating it with them sharing to everyone, you will just get a salt to dip it. They say that it has a nutrients in it's skin that is why I eat it without peeling it. How about you?
Did you also use a Guava to your "Singaw" or Canker Sore (according to google) inside your mouth? To your tongue because you accidentally bite it, or even in your gums. Thanks to my mom who said that it can really cure a canker sore, but you end up eating it because you can't help it and the singaw spend a week to your mouth because you won't listen to mom. And because I really didn't do it, I don't have a proof that it can really cure a Canker Sore fast.
When I eat a guava fruits, I choose the not so ripe guava, I dont want the super ripe where the inside is color pink, I dont like the smell of over ripe guava, I feel like there's a worm in it, but my mom loves it. We also use this to make a Guava Jam, have you tried it? Guava Jam is so delicious when you spread it on Buns or Tasty Bread, yes.
This can also use as one of the ingredients in "Sinigang," sinigang is where you boil a water with Pork or Fish. They use guava as soury to sinigang, you can see it in Philippines. And when I experience a diarrhea I also eat guava because they say it is good for your tummy. It is very effective though because when I poop the next day, I feel like i'm pooping a sand, it's hurt.
And the leaves, they say that it's good to any wound, they call it "Panglanggas" you will just boil it into water and put it in your wounds, a bloody wounds. But don't put it when it still hot, wait until it gets warm and then that's where you will use it, lets use our common denominator shall we.
This is also used in the new born child, they will use it to bath the baby, I dont know if for what, and why they use it.
This is just its flower, that even if you touch it in a careful manners, the petals will still fall. I'm just wondering, why this petal is easy to fall, but my crush didn't. He just won't fall for me, it's really sad, he's really a tough man.
