Video Games are Training

People don't like others who invest too much in video games.

This is especially true when these people become lazy because of their focus on video games. People would think that video games cause addiction or it can cause people to procrastinate on real-life matters but that is because of the focus that video games bring to the players. However, while this can be true, there is also a set of video games that allows people to exercise their coordination, leadership, and even their inspiration to do things.

Music Lives!

One of the niche video game genres is rhythm games. Some of the most famous games today are osu!, A Dance of Fire and Ice, Beat Saber, Dance Dance Revolution, Geometry Dash, and a few other mentionable games that you can search for like Beatmania and derivatives. These games all require you to press a button to a beat, some even having multiple buttons at once (osu!, Dance Dance Revolution), or even you swing virtual reality swords towards specific blocks in the beat (Beat Saber).

These games allow you to train yourself in hand-eye and foot-eye coordination. This is even more present in osu! players who reach the top rank can see things that common players don't usually see.

You can also get nice tunes while you play these games as well, especially osu!'s beatmaps. Just stay away from the Aspire section when the osu! community starts the contest, as some of them have impossible things unless you have experience. Like this song. Or this one. Or all the songs here. Or play The Big Black without training.

That's just osu!.

You don't want to know how hard the original inspiration of osu! is, though.

Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!

(I suggest not crying, by the way.)

Strike Team, Moving Out

Everyone these days like first-person shooters. Even your best friend's son and his best friend have a history with first-person shooters. Even the ones that brought the modern age of video games are all first-person shooters (Doom, Quake, Half-Life).

So what does a genre of shooting someone give to improve someone? A person's accuracy towards something.

Because of computer monitors, not all games have a full view of the game, and therefore it restricts the area and requires you to physically move your camera to aim.

Even the act of aiming itself is a measure of accuracy, and it requires hand-eye coordination as well. Not all of your enemies will be at your crosshair, after all. Even then, not all games have crosshairs.

There is hope, however. Some games are built for you to train on specific movements vital to a first-person shooter that can actually get improvement from you also playing rhythm games. And who knows?

Maybe you can win money for winning in a CS:GO tournament.

At Your Command, Commander

I didn't have anything I can have as a catchphrase for these types of games, but when you play any strategy games, may it be real-time strategy or just turn-based strategy, or multiplayer online battle arena games, or even auto chess strategy games. These types of games allow you to learn how to properly strategize and cooperate with your teammates. It can also allow you to become friends if your opponents/teammates are friendly enough.

A little thought experiment for myself, as I noticed an improvement when I replayed osu! after playing games like Left 4 Dead 2 and Fallout 4.

One warning, however, is that while you might enjoy the games you are playing, please do remember to focus more on the social aspects of life. Not even MMOs can satisfy your need completely. The reason it's not here is that there aren't many MMOs that I actually know. That's why the last section was also the shortest of the bunch.

I also didn't add sandbox because I might just look at Minecraft and explain how helpful it is, especially that it has Education Edition.
