I like Minecraft. It is a simple game that became a large part of the Internet. Most of Youtubers these days were once Minecraft players and some of them are still active lately. With this surge came also the songs, and some of the ones that I liked from pre-1.0 era were Form This Way, Revenge, and TNT, all of which were parodies.
All of these shown that Minecraft, as a simple sandbox adventure game, can bring even the most awesome of imaginations.
Some songs started as simple jokes and turned into something big that it is a staple of the community, like Diggy Diggy Hole.
Some Youtubers actually created a story from songs they had made, like Captain Sparklez's Fallen Kingdom Quadrology.
People are generally creative. Some of them are able to form things that weren't even possible today. But when you are given a sandbox with little to no end (until 1.0 arrived), someone will make a song and it will show the hardships they have made that they were able to show using Minecraft.
So you want to make a song about your favorite show/game, why not do it? After all. Minecraft isn't the only one that had parody and original songs from playing Minecraft. The Living Tombstone revolutionized the FNAF songs we hear today. Some of the old parodies get new light as memes.
