Do You Really Earn? - A Noise.Cash Review

Let's talk about noise.cash, the project created by Simon after read.cash and mainnet.

While I would write a more formal review on such matters like TxStreet or BCH.games, this will be a bit more nuanced and informal, as this is about another site created by Simon himself.

Now, unto the matters itself.

Noise.cash is an amazing Twitter alternative, and that's a fact.

Noise.cash is Twitter that pays, and that's what made people flock over there and ruin its first few months like how read.cash's initial implementation of the fund system brought spammers around the board.

Now, what does make it really tick? Is it the fact that it pays in BCH? Or is it the fact that it used to have a function that lets you tip 20%-80% of your "FreeTips" to others?

I think it's none of them, and it's the fact that noise.cash pushed BCH adoption more than sites like read.cash and lazyfox.io did. People around the world are using it now, and as it grows, I've noticed non-BCH proponents using it themselves. Heck, there's a Dogecoin shill who hates BCH that uses it too.

Noise.cash is different, because it's a new social media site with a good way in, and that is simply to log in. No need to do anything, but you do need to get yourself a BCH address to receive any tips you might receive.

How exactly does noise.cash give your tips? They use BCH, and every tip immediately gets sent to your wallet. If you're not careful by not setting a good minimum payment meter, it means that you'll soon rack up too many fees if you're a newbie with a non-custodial wallet like Bitcoin.com wallet or Electron Cash, or too many emails if you're using an exchange.

Luckily minimum payment is here, which allows noise.cash to batch transactions. It's kinda good.

Noise.cash isn't doing anything special, at all. It's a good site, it has good support, but it's still new.

A thing that discourages a few from using it however is the fact that it's not feature-complete. They implemented a solution similar to communities here called Chambers, but those are just groups of posts with no moderation. There's no formatting since it's apparent that the word limit is larger, unlike Twitter. You can't also ping someone from a post.

Does it make it worse? Not really. It's already usable, and these are just fluffs.

Noise.cash's current problem is actually just spam. There's still a lot, but then when you start to remove the incentive to create spam like what read.cash had, it'll get cleaner.

Speaking of incentives, you can earn by getting tipped via QR code or heart someone. But hearting someone isn't a really good way of earning because they don't tip others all the time, so you still need to find a way to earn more.

One thing for sure, it's a good alternative to Twitter.

That's my review.

I need to stop writing 3-minute articles...

Bro, I agree with you on a lot of points across the board here, the fact too that you need a BCH address when signing up, means you're already starting to interact with BCH, 😎👍 Also, this 👇

Heck, there's a Dogecoin shill who hates BCH that uses it too. Who the heck is this guy? Hahaha, it sounds like a wonder that he still manages to stay on-site at that rate. 🤣 Do you mind dropping me a message on reddit about this guy? 😂

Spammers are a problem across any platform after all 🤷‍♂️ but we'll get there eventually.
