I have recently discovered "Kylie Flavell" an enigmatic and deeply thought-provoking Filmmaker, editor, producer & journalist making shows as a one-girl production company traveling the world. There are many travel vloggers on YouTube but few are authentic and display such genuine joy and happiness at discovering new places, food, and cultures as Kylie does on her vlog.
Kylie has imersed herself in the many wonders of the Italian culture and captures each experience in cinematic grace and depth that is truly intoxicating. Here is a series called "The Dolce Vita Diaries" filmed in Positano on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. Having meaningful conversations with locals about the idea of the "Good Life" and makes one think about how we will live our lives Post Corona. Will we revert to the same rampant pursuit for material consumerism or will we choose to take an alternative path for our lives?
Sure many will think about making dynamic life changes and wishing for freedom from our lives in financial servitude, but unfortunately few will consciously take the opportunity to press reset and alter the course of their lives. I fear many will go right back to their familiar comfort zones and sure enough, before you know it, get right back into the rat race thinking this is the best way to put the hardships of the global Corona lockdown behind and make it a distant memory like a bad dream one awakes from.
