Hope everybody is well I'm fine too. Today I'm going to share with you a great short life story of a hero who gave his life for our country and will be immortal to us forever. His name is Hamidur Rahman.
Introduction: The state conferred the title of âBir Shresthaâ on seven heroic freedom fighters for their immense bravery in the war of liberation. Sepoy Hamidur Rahman is one of them.
Birth and identity: February 2, 1952. Hamidur Rahman was born on this day in Khard Khalishpur village of Maheshpur police station in Jhenaidah. His father's name was Akkas Ali Mandal. Mother's name is Kayasunnesa.
Contribution to the war of liberation: Sepoy Hamidur Rahman joined the Mukti Bahini in 1971 to liberate the country from the enemy. On 26th October, the freedom fighters decided to occupy the Dhalai border and outpost of Srimangal police station. To this end, the expedition started with three paramilitary soldiers led by sepoy Hamidur Rahman. In the darkness of the night they very carefully dropped the grenade. The enemy was waiting to destroy the bunker but at one point the mine buried by the enemy exploded. The galas begin. Hamidur Rahman fired a grenade. The enemy lost its way. He was shot by a machine gun while throwing a grenade. He fell to the ground. This fearless hero was martyred. Tomb: Bir Shrestha Hamidur Rahman was first buried at Hatimarachhara village in Ambasa union of Tripura. His body was brought back to Bangladesh on December 10, 2006. The next day he was reburied with state honors at the Mirpur Intellectual Cemetery. Conclusion: Birshreshtha Hamidur Rahman is our pride, our pride. His self-sacrifice is immortal.
As long as Bangladesh exists we will remember him and all the great heroes like him and through their sacrifice we got this independent country.
