What is Menopause?

"It's a period when permanent cessation of menstruation".

Age:

The age is the major factor which depends on it.

Normally it occurs at the age of 45 to 55 years.

Possibility:

In some women, the menstruation stops suddenly but in some females the menstrual flow decreases gradually during every cycle and finally stops.

Causes of early menopause:

Ovariectomy:

It's mean the surgical removal of ovaries which is the major cause of early menopause.

Hysterectomy:

Surgical removal of uterus as may be a part of treatment cause the early menopause.

Cigarette smoking:

Smoking causes early menopause and drugs abuse also have abnormal menstruation.

After effects of menopause:

Hot flashes

Fatigue

Emotional pressure

Mental depression

Anxiety

Urinary disturbance

Numbness

Vertigo

Insomnia

Palpitation

Nervousness

Osteoporosis

Atherosclerosis

Estrogen:

These are all related to estrogen which is the female sex hormone. When it's quantity become low and long term lack of estrogen cause many of problems like this.
