Human beings are damned because of free will. If not by the grace of God and by the leading of the Holy Spirit, human beings will always be endangered. The reason is, we are inherently designed with weakness that is overwhelmed by our free will.
God's intention for the created beings is to take dominion and be fruitful. That is inherent because man is crafted from the ground (adamah). The ground that bears all creation and has the power to multiply every other kind of creation.
Yet man is not resolved with these inherent traits and capacities. Now, this free will would want them to live as accorded by the adversary (as gods who know the good and evil). It is such a disgrace for the created beings to follow that ringing dictate that transformed a divine will into selfish intention.
So much so, our God still mindful to the created beings (Ps. 8:4). This "teshomat lav" (mindful) is simply defined as "putting attention to" that is amplified into the willingness of God to listen and respond.
His attention to the created is still unblemished. That would take Him to listen and respond with urgency as needed. In the Scripture, we can read lots of references that God is indeed listening and responding. Jesus Christ himself is God's response to the need of this sinful world. John 15, with the theme "real vine", tells us with certainty that we must remain in Him so that when we ask in the of Jesus, it shall be given.
