THE RIGHT USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA

Are you also one of those who get tired of the complex world of social media? Have you ever missed the times when we only use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social networking sites to intensify friendships and share fun events in our lives? Do you also want to restore the security of the internet?

Most people feel the same way. You, me, and many others want to use social media properly. Those who have no quarrels, no quarrels, no deception, or disunity.

What is the proper way to use social media? Let's go and explore just a few of the ways we can regain sanity on the internet. Perhaps through these small activities, we can serve as an example to more of our countrymen and friends so that we can maintain good manners online.

1. Remember that social media and the internet are a public place

Anything we post on social media and on the internet is made public. One post can be read by hundreds of our friends. It can also be shared and reach thousands, or even millions connected to the internet.

So we must be careful about all our words, pictures, and even our expressions. Remember that they can be read by a wide variety of people - relatives, friends, even our employers. Remember that just as our reputation online, so will their recognition of us in real life.

Whenever possible, avoid posting very private topics, sensitive photos and videos, and do not post offensive or offensive to others, especially those regarding gender, religion, and politics.

2. Social media is a place for friendship and understanding

Social media is created to strengthen our connection with our loved ones, friends, the community, and even society as a whole. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more, are places for friendship and understanding.

There may come a time when we have conflicting views on different issues but let us remember that everyone has the right to express their beliefs and attitudes. This is not bad. It is better that we communicate. It is important that respect for these differences prevail.

If the conversation is too heated, why not invite your friend over for coffee and discuss your points in real life? Face-to-face conversation is still different.

(And remember, be free sometimes, he's not the only one who's always free!)

3. Make it a habit to read the content of the article in full and carefully before commenting or sharing

Sometimes we get used to instant: instant noodles, instant coffee, instant everything. Sometimes even with the things we see online, we also want to be quick and fast. As a result, we are burned many times by simply reacting to the headline.

Let us remember that it is important to read and fully understand the things we see on the internet. (Warning: not everything you see on the internet is true!)

Here are some guiding questions to help us better understand what we are reading:

· What is the main topic of this article? (What is this article about?)

· What are the supporting ideas on this topic?

· What does the writer / photographer / author of this work want to convey?

· Are all written / presented / published material supported by scientific analysis, evidence and proof?

· Are the angles in this article equal on all sides?

· Can I verify and cross-check with other sources what the author says and claims in this article? Do other sources support this claim? Or are they contrary?

· Is this article / image / video a direct statement of fact? Or is it just the author expressing his or her own opinion?

· How will it affect me and my daily life?

· What does this article mean about things that are currently happening in our society?

If you do not fully understand the readable or visible images, it is best to ask an acquaintance, or topic experts. Ask friends, relatives, teachers, or authorities who have a broader knowledge of the topic of the article or photo.

4. Avoid sharing unverified articles or memes

In addition to the above, let us remember that it is important that the information we share on social media is true and verified. Find out if the content of the articles and photos is true and based on facts.

There are articles that just want to comment on humor. They are called lampoon, parody, or satire. Be careful in recognizing and reading them.

Let us remember that there are other websites whose sole purpose is to deceive and disseminate false information. Let us avoid them.

Sharing misinformation can cause other people, cause panic, or cause unrest in our society. We do not want this to happen.

5. Be responsible at all times

Do I still need to memorize that? YES. We need to memorize this and keep in mind that the responsible use of social media is the only solution so that we can restore order and security online. Being responsible online is rooted in only two things: honesty and respect.

If each of us is responsible for our behavior on social media, we can avoid conflict, misunderstanding, slander, and disunity.

Let's use social media correctly. Let us use it to cultivate our fellowship. Let's use it so we can learn. Let's use Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to make our lives better.

What you should know. If you are not careful, there is a lot of information available from your profile, pictures, status updates (short messages for everyone on your ‘friends list’), and comments (you respond to other people’s messages). For example, you can find out where you live, when you are at home, and where you work or study. When a thief reads your address and post such as "We will go on vacation tomorrow !," he already knows where and when he robbed.

Other details — such as your e-mail address, date of birth, or telephone number — may be used by others to harass you, intimidate you, or steal your identity. But it is common for people to post such information on their social network page.

Many do not think that when they post something on the Internet, it is possible for anyone to read it. Even if they set their status updates to “Friends Only”, they have no control over what those friends do with the information. In fact, anything posted on a social network should be considered public or easily spread.

All you can do. Become familiar with the privacy settings of your social network, and use that. Only access your status updates and pictures to people you know and trust.

Keep in mind, though, that what you post can still be spread. So check your page regularly, and consider whether you have posted information that can be used by bad people to track you down or steal your identity. Even to your friends, do not post information that would endanger the privacy of you or others. (Proverbs 11:13) If the information you provide is confidential, use another form of communication. “Talking over the phone is more personal and more confident,” says a young woman named Cameron.

What you should know. Social networking can waste your time and neglect more important tasks. Kay says, "the more friends you have on the list, the more time you spend on social networking and the more likely you are to get addicted to it." Consider the comments of some who said they were addicted.

“It's hard to sign out of a social network, even if you don't really enjoy it. It seems addictive. ”- Elise.

“There is so much to do — games, tests, music fan pages — in addition to viewing your friends' pages.” - Blaine.

“You seem to be magnetized, and you don't realize that you have run out of time until your mother comes and asks why the dishes have not been washed.” - Analise.

“Sometimes while I was still in school, I loved going home to see who responded to my posts. Then, I will answer them and look at all their new pictures. My head also heats up while I am online, and I do not want to be disturbed. Other people I know, are almost always online — even when they are at home with friends and even late at night!

Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram, tumblr as well as Blogger. These are just a few of the social media sites that young people enjoy. I am an acquaintance. I'm addicted to the internet, but not in a bad way. I would like to attribute this to my father and show that young people are more aware now. "Maybe it's just your generation, young people are different now!" if I had no respect and could not control myself I would have answered like this.

Young people are different now. They are delicate in their choice and I am proud to belong to this generation. I like them a lot on Facebook and follow them on Twitter. From what I can see, it is critical for young people to think with the help of social media and internet sites. Good news for our town.

I also noticed that they are not just choosing popular candidates because of endorsers and commercials. They are also evaluating independent candidates. Young people now care. Through the camera, they spy on the crazy candidates and send them to the media. I also read a lot of articles from young people's blog sites and I enjoy reading them.

Another thing I am proud of is the liberal mind of the current youth. Their ideas are fresh unlike the traditional ones when it comes to thinking. Thanks to technology, they are expanding. Some of these are making short videos about the election or encouraging other young people to be smart in their choices.

Most voters are 18-25 years old. Young people. Therefore, I am complacent with the result of the poll (if no fraud occurs). I can consider this election to be progressive and successful with the help of the smart and critical thinking of the youth. What our hero said is true, and hopefully the youth and the next generation will realize that, Youth is the hope of the people.

Nowadays, new styles of cell phones, tablets, computers, and more are coming out. At the same time, they are increasing the number of people who use the internet and social media. Young people are often found online on social media where they can use it in a variety of ways. The internet and social media can help a lot in our lives today. On the internet you can find almost everything a person needs including various information that can help in daily life. For social medias, this is necessary because through it, we can talk to our loved ones and it also has academic tools.

How does the internet, especially social media, help students today?

The first is to send files using social media which is often done on facebook. "On Fb only" is what we often hear from our friends or classmates. Next is having a "group chat." This is a big help especially for projects that are not very discussed in class. This is done so that a group can better understand their project. Research is a very important activity in the lives of students because here they can deepen their understanding of something. On the internet, especially on Youtube, you can find various tutorials that can help our students learn. This site also features documentaries that teachers sometimes watch in class. On twitter or facebook, you can sometimes find new social news. due to the frequent exposure of young people to the internet, it is here that the news is discovered and no longer on television. There are times when the project is related to news articles and due to modern times, students search the internet. Now that K-12 has been implemented, it is noteworthy that hand outs are available online. Teachers today use Edmodo to get students the tasks they need for the next day. On this website can be found online quizzes. There are also opportunities here for children to submit tasks using the internet.

But behind the great help of the internet and social media to students, it also has a negative impact on learning. In the world of the internet and social media, there are things here that can hinder learning. Not all children will be able to use, or have the budget to purchase gadgets as needed. First of all, while studying, young people today can not avoid being visited on various websites that may consume their time that should be presented in the study. When it comes to social media, it is also unavoidable to look at mssages and notifications while doing an assignment or interacting with something else that has nothing to do with the academic thing.

Since we are in the modern age, we need to get used to the release of different models of gadgets. The internet is a great help to academics as well as to social media, if it is used correctly. There is always time for study, and there is always time for leisure. Proper adjustment is needed to balance the two: internet and social media for academics, and internet and social media for entertainment.

Social media is needed in modern times because it helps to facilitate communication with others and easy knowledge especially for students. It helps in facilitating knowledge.
