A small house on an island in Conor, a lighthouse keeper, with pregnant wife Bronagh, son Ben and pet dog Cu. Everything was going great. Little Ben and very enthusiastic about the upcoming brother / sister. But one night, the tone of the story suddenly changed. After waking up in the stormy night, Bronagh's labor pains seem to have fled to the sea. When Ben and Conor follow, they find Saoirse, a girl who has just landed on the beach, but there is no sign of her mother as if she has voluntarily given up the last of her existence in the infinite sea.
★ Six years have passed. Big brother Ben sees his only dumb sister Saoirse as an eye sore, and since that night he has been blaming the little girl for his mother's mysterious disappearance. Conor's condition has been deplorable since that day. The only love that is completely broken after losing a loved one and still can't get rid of that grief.
★ Grandmother comes to visit on Saoirse's birthday. He came and called the house completely unsuitable for making people childish. A strange thing happened that night. Saoirse's last memory of his mother starts playing a conch that Ben never lets him touch. To this day, Ben has not been able to pick up a single tune, but Saoirse is the first to pick up a wonderful tune that his mother used to pick up. The conch carries him to the white coat made of the skin of his mother's seal, which he keeps in the closet, which he rides into the sea to a group of seals waiting.
More surprisingly, he transformed himself into a small white seal and began to play with the whole sea. That night Grandma finds him on the beach wearing that white seal leather coat and she decides to take the kids to town with her. And the last memory of Conor and his wife packed that white coat and conch into the sea, despite Ben's many prohibitions.
And from here the flow of the story begins to flow into the mainstream.
ুThe movie is based on Irish fairy tales. From the beginning of the movie, its theme, background music is enough to hold the audience. When it comes to animation, at first it may seem like a child's drawing, but as you go deeper into the story, you will feel the presence of a pure, eye-catching beauty in this simple artwork.
With this, you will be looking for an unknown mystery till the end of the movie, which started from the very beginning. Along with it is a supernatural adventure of a younger sibling through which the brother is ready to risk his own life for his once blind sister.Even though I saw it a long time ago, I couldn't write a review of it. I couldn't figure out exactly how to present the story because it's a fairy tale, but it's very different from the kind of fairy tale we're usually familiar with. But at the end I sat down to write whatever comes to my mind.
All in all, in a nutshell, it is very enjoyable. You can have a good time with a simple animated artwork and see the story of a different fairy tale.
