Do you know this old man ?? Not supposed to recognize? Let me know. He served as a habildar of the then Pakistan Army East Bengal Regiment.
Razakars threatened to rape his wife for joining the liberation war. Hearing this, he came home from the battlefield to take the news of his wife and child. He came and saw that his wife had committed suicide with a rope around her neck to save her chastity. None of the children survived.
He left home with the same grief as the mountains and returned home after the country became independent. During the War of Liberation, he formed a formidable guerrilla force of 5,000 freedom fighters who fought valiantly in Barisal, Jhalokati, Gopalganj, Faridpur, Madaripur, Shariatpur and Bagerhat areas to defeat the Pakistani invaders and their local allies the Razakars.
One day in the ensuing battle, a bullet entered one side of the man's cheek and passed through the other. Eight teeth fell out. Finki was bleeding, but the man did not stop fighting, he continued fighting until he lost consciousness, and in the end the Pakistani invaders were defeated and fled.
This old man's name is Hemayet Uddin.
Hemayet Bahini chief hero Bikram Hemayet Uddin.
One of the guerrilla legends not only of Bangladesh but of the entire modern military history. It may not be useful for Pakistanis to gossip, but it will be useful for them to find their own identity.
This man fell asleep on October 22, 2016. Eternal sleep. No one remembered. Many more Hemayets sleep on this ground. Who cares ??
Do you know the truth, this is Hemayetgo country. This country has been liberated by the Hemayetas for our survival.
In this way, the real freedom fighters are silently lost behind the scenes .........
Humble respect. Stay well.
I didn’t heard about him. Thanks for share
