Baltic States

The three countries on the east shore of the Baltic Sea in northern Europe are collectively called the Baltic States. The three countries are Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. All of them are OECD or Organization for the Economic Cooperation and Development. It is a member of the intergovernmental economic organization of 36 high-income economies. They are also members of NATO, the Schengen Visa Area, the Eurozone and the European Union.

The Baltic states are the most developed and high-income economies. Every country is an independent sovereign. Although none of them formed any kind of official union state. However, there is intergovernmental and parliamentary cooperation.

The Baltic region, on the other hand, refers to all the countries bordering the Baltic Sea.

The capital of Estonia is Tallinn. Most of the people in this country are irreligious. In addition to world-class health care, free education services are available. In 2005, it became the first country in the world to complete the voting process on the Internet. In 2014, it became the first country in the world to launch an electronic or virtual residency.

The capital of Latvia is Aiga. The country gained independence from the Soviet Union. Most of the people here are Christians. The name of the legislature is Seima.

Kaliningrad is an area of ​​southern Russia in the Baltic states. Which is quite isolated from Russia, but the Baltic countries share borders with Belarus. Belarus, on the other hand, is a union state of the Russian Federation. Which is currently the only union state in the world.
