Agrawal to Present at 2023 Process Development Symposium

The AlChE's annual symposium will take place on June 13-15, 2023 in Vancouver, Canada. "The symposium is an opportunity for process development professionals from all over the world to discuss their experiences with novel and innovative technologies to trigger radical changes in next-generation processes development and operations." Gaurav Agrawal, who is a Process Development and Scale-up Lead at Origin Materials, will be presenting as part of the "Innovative Solutions for Designing Sustainable Processes" session on Wednesday, June 14 at 1:15pm.

Mr. Agrawal spent eight years at ExxonMobil, most recently as a Research Associate where he "led development, field demonstration and scale-up of a membrane technology and commercialized it for aromatics and non-aromatics separation." He received a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech.

Ledbetter Shares Promotion

Another ramblin' wreck from Georgia Tech (and a hell of an engineer), Benson Ledbetter, announced today via LinkedIn that he is starting a new position with Origin Materials. He has graduated from Process Design Manager to Process Engineering Director.

Tick-Tock, When Start-Up?

As the second quarter winds down with the month of June, investors and watchers are left wondering when the Origin 1 facility in Sarnia, Ontario will start-up. Officially, per the company's timeline, it is expected by the end of June. Exactly when is anybody's guess. Bissell has been surprisingly responsive via Twitter to investor queries on the matter:

Speculate and examinate until you're blue in the face, but you got to appreciate the replies at the very least. That's it for tonight, good evening.
