Who is this Vikarunnisa Noon?

There is no one who does not know Vikarun Nisa Noon School and College, but many do not know who this Vikarun Nisa Noon was or how he was. Vikarun Nisa Noon was the wife of Feroz Khan Noon.

Feroze Khan Noon was the seventh Prime Minister of Pakistan from 1956-56. Prior to this he was the Governor of East Bengal from 1950 to 1953. He was then the Chief Minister of Punjab for the next three years (1953-1957). Feroz Khan Noon married Victoria (former name of Vikarun Nisar). Victoria was Austrian by birth. After her marriage, Victoria converted to Islam and changed her name to Vikar-un-Nisa (a mosque).

Vikarun Nisa was also an active partner in Feroze Khan's political life. He took part in the movement for the establishment of Pakistan with Feroze Khan. Feroze Khan Noon resigned from the cabinet of the Viceroy of India and moved to Lahore with his wife. Then Vikarun Nisa joined active politics along with Feroz Khan. When the Civil Disobedience Movement was going on in Punjab, Lady Noon did not give up even after being arrested three times. He helped reorganize the movement against the British-backed Khizr cabinet.

Even after the death of her husband, Vikarun Nisa is still involved in various social service activities. He established a school for girls in East Bengal. Vikarun Nisa Nun tried to get girls from this country to pursue higher education like Oxford, Cambridge.
