What is BCS cadre and why do we want to be BCS cadre?

01) What is BCS exam?

Answer: The full meaning of BCS is Bangladesh Civil Service. And the BCS exam is the exam that is given for the job in this civil service.

02) What is the civil service thing?

Answer: Civil service is a government job. Government jobs in any country are roughly divided into two parts

01. Military;

02. Civil;

The military refers to the army, navy, air force, and the civil service refers to the 27 services such as administration (meaning those who are magistrates, district DCs, secretaries of ministries), police, tax, foreign affairs, customs, audit, education, etc.

03) What does cadre mean?

A: Cadre means a team specially trained to perform a specific task. The recruits are specially trained to perform specific duties in government service, hence they are called Civil Service Cadre or BCS Cadre.

04) Why are BCS officers called first class gazetted officers?

Answer: There are four classes in the service of Bangladesh government, the highest class is called first class or first class. Official gazettes or notifications are issued at the time of their appointment, the President himself appoints them. Overall, first class gazetted officers are in a relatively good position in terms of quality, dignity, scope of duties and facilities.

05) How many types of cadres?

Answer: There are basically two types of BCS cadres. Namely: General (Police, Admin and Foreign Affairs, etc.) and Technical (Education, Health, Agriculture, Roads and Urban Development, etc.). Anyone in the General Cadre can get a job by passing an examination from any subject, but in order to get a job in the Technical Cadre, one has to have educational qualifications in a particular subject. For example, no one can work as a government doctor without an MBBS degree.

08) What is the qualification to give BCS exam?

Answer: Must be a citizen of Bangladesh, must be within a certain age limit. Must have four years Honors or equivalent degree in any subject. Candidates with four years of Honors and one year of Masters will also be able to appear for the examination. Students studying abroad will also be able to participate in the examination by showing a certificate equivalent to a four-year degree from the Ministry of Education in Bangladesh.

08) Brother, I am a doctor / engineer / architect / sexologist. Can I become a policeman, diplomat, tax officer etc. with BCS exam? No, do I have to go to the health service as a doctor?

A: Of course you can. In some cases, this technical degree will bring you huge benefits. For example, if you join the police as a doctor, you will be in trouble with the UN missions. On the one hand, you can become the head of the police, on the other hand, you can practice medicine subject to permission.

If you are an engineer, you will be given priority in the training of various technical crimes in the police. There are many medical engineers who have become secretaries, ambassadors, etc. without going into the technical cadre. Get rid of the idea that you have to be Shakespeare to read English.

08) Brother, I have studied from private universities, national universities, foreign universities, degree colleges in Mooseball, Alien Academy on Mars. Can I take the BCS exam?

A: Brother, no matter where you study, if you don't have more than one third class in your life and you can meet the 8.00 point educational qualification in all, then you can take the exam. English medium / madrasa students can also take the test. Not your organization, it will depend on what you have written in the exam book whether you will get the job or not.

09) Brother, how is the medical test of the civil service? Is the medical test of the police like the army? And is there a possibility of omission in this medical test?

A: Medical tests in the civil service are very simple and basic, you can find out by visiting any government hospital and asking a doctor. If you do not have a serious problem, you are not likely to be left out. The medical tests of the police are like all other cadres, not different. The only difference is height and weight. In the case of the police, the rule of eyes is that no matter what your eyes are, if it is 7/8 after wearing glasses, then there is no problem.

10) Brother, I heard that BCS exam can be given without completing honors, is it true?

Answer: No, it is not possible to give examination without honors. However, all the honors examinations have been completed by the date mentioned in the notification but the results are yet to be given. In this case, the examination can be given with a certificate from the head of the departmental examination. The original certificate has to be taken later.
