Premier League giants Chelsea have registered their interest in securing the services of Real Madrid playmaker Isco and have even held discussions with his agent over a possible switch to Stamford Bridge.

That’s according to Spanish outlet El Desmarque, relayed in an article by Sports Witness, who claims that the West London club are ready to pay up to €55 million (£47m) for the Spaniard’s services.

The update reports that the Los Blancos president Florentino Perez currently has ‘no intention’ of selling the playmaker, however, a ‘good proposal’ could change his mind over a possible switch this summer.

Reports in recent months suggested that Madrid were expecting the Blues Premier League rivals Man City and Arsenal to move for the creative Spaniard, however, their interest hasn’t been seen during the winter transfer window.

Despite the recent update, it seems unlikely to see the Blues splashing the money on Isco anytime soon.

He’s played 16 games this campaign in all competitions and has turned out in nine of the Los Blancos last 12 La Liga fixtures.

The midfielder seems to be forcing his way into Zinedine Zidane’s plans at RealMadrid, with the latest report suggesting that Isco is ‘expected’ to receive more first-team minutes between now and the end of the season.

Frank Lampard has openly revealed that he is keen to strengthen his attacking options this winter and even though Isco fits that bill with his creativity up frunt it would be better to sign a back-up for Tammy Abraham rather than Spaniard.

A prolific finisher to rival the impressive Tammy Abraham, would be a wise call, which could then help Lampard both Europe and domestically.

Chelsea and Tottenham keeping tabs on 22-year-old Serie A star valued at £18.9m

Tottenham and Chelsea sent scouts to keep close tabs on AS Roma 22-year-old star Amadou Diawara in their 2-1 loss to Juventus this weekend, it’s been reported.

The former Napoli man has caught the eye of both London teams after only joining Roma last summer in a £18.9million deal.

According to reports, scouts from both Spurs and the Blues were present at the Stadio Olimpico to witness him in action.

It is believed that the Spurs have had long term interest in the midfielder, regularly keeping tabs on him and his performance in Serie A.
