Cryptocurrency Scam and crypto market

0 29

Crypto scammers are everywhere. How do spammers spam you? How do you recognize them? How to save yourself from spamming?

Why not to believe anyone in the cryptocurrency market?

To help people avoid cryptocurrency scams, the FTC has produced some guidelines based on common methods used by scammers:

  • guaranteed returns are always fake

  • so are promises of free money

  • scammers often make big claims without details or explanations

  • celebrity endorsements or testimonials are easily faked

  • be extremely wary of anyone asking you to pay by wire transfer or gift card, which are virtually impossible to recover (Source: FTC)

So let's see some scammers who faked someone to loot people:

  • Scammers of Tesla CEO Elon Musk have stolen at least $2 million from cryptocurrency investors in so called giveaway scams(FTC)

Do you think person like Joe Biden or Barack Obama will ever post something like that? They just give people if they want, they never want back🙂

So what not to do??

Dont click Scamming Emails:

Even if it looks exactly like an email you received from a legitimate cryptocurrency company, take care before investing your digital currency. Is the email the exact same, and are the logo and branding identical? Can you verify that the email address is legitimately connected to the company? The ability to check on this is one reason why it's important to choose a company that has real people working for it. If you have doubts about an email, ask someone who works there. And never click on a link in a message to get to a site.

Don't send crypto to Tweets and Social media posts

If you're following celebrities and executives on social media, you can't be sure that you're not following impostor accounts. The same applies to cryptocurrencies, where malicious, impersonating bots are rampant. Don't trust offers that come from Twitter or Facebook, especially if there seems to be an impossible result.

If someone on these platforms asks for even a small amount of your cryptocurrency, it's likely you can never get it back. (You can learn from the recent crypto scam of Elon musk imposters)

Hope you enjoy the article.I am newbie on this site and also in accepting Bitcoincash. I don't know what I will gain here but I know the BCH future is bright.
