Democratic governance is one of the best inventions of man.

And through the successful implementation of democracy in different countries, economic and social development of those countries has been possible.

Democratic governance stands on three main divisions. Through these pillars, democratic governance is governed by a balanced distribution of power.

One, Executive Branch: - The officers of this department of the constitution are appointed by the government. Their power is specified in the constitution. They run the administration based on the laws of the country. The elected representatives of the country work on the basis of the prescribed policy. Different states in India have their own and central administrative services. Central Administrative Service officers work under the elected government of the center or the state. They have a lot of discretionary power in their hands. Although elected President of the United States, he was included in the executive branch and held much more power.

Two, Elected Representative Division (Legislative Branch): - The officers of this department are directly or indirectly elected by the people for a fixed term. They make laws based on the basic structure of the constitution, they are at the top of the various ministries and they run the administration. They set the policy in different areas of the country. They are the most powerful in a democratic system of governance.

Three, Judicial Branch: - This department is made up of judicial officers. The judiciary consists of the provincial high courts and the central apex court. This department deals with various matters according to the law of the land. The legislature also has the power to decide whether the various laws of the state or the central legislature are in accordance with the constitution. In the case of India, the Central Supreme Court has been accorded the status of "Supreme Interpreter of the Constitution".

In a democratic country, governance is well governed if there is an ideal connection between the three divisions and a balanced distribution of power. And the more separate all the divisions are, the better for democracy.

Since the media collects news from different parts of the country and delivers it to the people and rulers of all parts of the country and informs the people about the governance and rulers of the country, the media is called the fourth pillar of democracy.

Free and impartial media is considered as one of the conditions of good governance in modern democratic system.
