AJM Nasir Uddin, Mayor and General Secretary of Nagar Awami League spoke
But it is not up to us to decide who will come to the polls or not. We will not only deal with this evil force in the next election, we will resist them.
So that they can say goodbye to the politics of Bangladesh.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a joyous gathering on the occasion of Democracy and Constitution Day at the Shaheed Minar premises on Friday (January 5) afternoon.
Barrister Knopfel said some political forces across Bangladesh wanted to question the January 5 election. They have been defeated in Bangladesh as well as in the world.
The Razakars who wanted to come to power with the help of Al-Badr power through false politics have been defeated. Today, they are unitedly trying to divide our government, from social media to electronic communication.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury, acting president of Nagar Awami League, said, "We will build forts from house to house with unity ahead of the elections."
Nagar Awami League general secretary and city mayor AJM Nasir Uddin said a political party was active in preventing the January 5, 2014 elections from taking place. The group seized power in the dark of night through the barrel of a gun. They showed their thumbs up to democracy. The party can never claim to be a democratic party, democratic behavior could never be expected from the party.
Criticizing the party's founder, Mayor Nasir said, "We acknowledge that he took part in the liberation war." Whether he has actively participated in the liberation war is more important than whether he has the consciousness of the liberation war. This freedom fighter did not have the consciousness of liberation war. He became an officer in the army through the barrel of a gun, overthrew the democratic government in the dark of night and established a dictatorial government, forming political parties. We believe that the party can never believe in the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh. They planted the seeds of militancy. He wanted to make the country a militant state. Wanted to create a void state.
He said the government should be formed by gaining a majority in the next elections by uniting. The continuity of the government must be maintained.
Vice President Khorshed Alam Sujan said the BNP did not understand the definition of democracy and ridiculed the January 5 elections. History has proved that democracy does not sit well for Khaleda Zia. If the BNP and its party burn in the next election and cause loss of life and property, they will have to leave politics forever.
